I have brought my cats and my fiancée's dogs here without prior issues. I had made an appointment for a family member's cat under my account and the cat's cut was not done how they had asked. The owner had offered a discount for the NEXT TIME that cat was brought in. What she should have done was (since the cut could not be fixed) offered money back on the service that had been done wrong. Why would someone come back unless the original problem was fixed? I was willing to give them another chance, because people do make mistakes. My family member had said to go ahead and use the discount (ON THE CAT THAT WAS BROUGHT IN ON MY ACCOUNT). So the owner called me and said that the discount could not be used/transferred. She stated that that was an incentive to get my family member's cat to come back in. I offered the following points:
A) If the cat was under my account, what does it matter if the discount is used on a different cat?
B)I brought her business and there is no gratitude for referrals.
C) She should have offered money back on the service that she messed up in the first place.
The owner then said: "I will give you 5 dollars off if that will make you happy."
I declined the offer and decided that I will never go back. Even if a job is well done, the customer service is poor. If she would have just given my family member money back in the first place, she could have kept that cat as a client. So because of the owner's stubbornness over offering back approximately $20, she has now lost 3 cats as clients (at up to $58 a pop) and my two large dogs. My other family member that took her cat there will never go back, either. Worth it? read more
