We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and chatted during the shift change. Sports played on a nearby t.v. Being once employed bartenders, we enjoyed the friendly banter behind the bar and carried out easy conversation. Super friendly staff, excellent service, and the British accents are never a disappointment. Will hurriedly return for another dose!

It is just a 7 minute drive from the center of Füssen. There is a broad range of regional and local dishes. We were in a large group and every dish looked delicious. The food was hot and fresh and the portions plentiful. I had the Tiroler Holzfällerpfanne (Tyrolean Lumberjack Skillet) and it was of high quality. If I had one small complaint: the potatoes were just a little bit overcooked (soft), but it did not spoil my meal. There was also a selection of local spirits and drinks and of course, Bavarian beer, including a very local one. I have been living in the area for ten years and this place ranks high in customer service (hard to find around here!) and quality.. And it seems like the locals enjoy it, too, which is important! In short: If you want to have one last Bavarian dinner before leaving the Alps and Füssen, I would recommend this spot for both the view and the food. The apres ski is great fun and although the same band (The Short and Curlies (??!)) have been there for years, the recipie is successful and from about 4pm you'll enter to a scene reminicent of something from the film Coyote Ugly, with attractive Scandanavians dancing on tables and attractive bar staff serving your drinks. The drinks prices are high but then then food and drink in the resort is pretty dear on the whole. Into the evening the pub retains its party atmosphere with more dancing on tables into the early hours you'll be glad to hear.

The waitresses and bartenders are really friendly and fun. They also have a wide variety of hot drinks - the eggnog one is really popular, and so are the Schnapps/ grappa drinks - tried the one with pear, sour apricot and peach. And they were all really good, and pretty presentation with big chunk of fruit. Totally recommend!
