My Primary Care Physician sent them my referral to schedule the procedure, the day after receiving the referral they called me to schedule an appointment to discuss the procedure in more detail. Two days prior to my appointment a nurse called me to ask me questions so we could complete my medical history questionnaire. They also went over all my demographics and they sent me an email so I could set up an account on their office portal. I arrived at the office and once I had signed in they immediately took me to the back for my consultation. Upon exiting the consultation with the ARNP, I went to the check out counter were I scheduled my procedure date. I received information as to the location that the procedure would take place, the time I should arrive and what information I needed to know regarding prepping for the procedure. About 10 minutes after leaving the office I got a call from the office pharmacy verifying my address and letting me know they would be sending me out my prescription to my home. No need for me to go to a pharmacy drop off a prescription and pick up meds. The office was clean, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The entire process was easy and quick, the flow in which everything was done in my opinion works. Working in the Healthcare system I can tell you that things are not always as seamless as this process was. They definitely respect their patients time and the treatment you receive helps you feel less stressed.

I understand that according to the insurance, there must be a process. I cannot entirely agree with the lack of communication with the patients and the little information in the records for when the doctor covers the main doctor. My first time with Dr. Aurelio was in September and he recommended seeing a specialist who saw the beginning of October. Dr. Aurelio's office and this new doctor recommended the specialist send me additional tests and to see another specialist. My insurance requires that my general practitioner, in this case, DR. Aurelio, authorize them. Again, I understand the process required by insurance, but Dr. Aurelio's office does a review of what the specialist notes and what he had recommended and has to be with the patient present not sure why if everything is on file other practices just review notes an give the authorization, it was a wasting of time, because required an appointment that It took more than 4 weeks just to authorize the exam. After waiting for my appointment all this time, Dr. Aurelio was not available to see me, but a Nurse practitioner was going to take care of me. I did not see a problem; it was just authorizing the exam. The nurse was kind and everything, but she had no idea what the appointment was for. After explaining and telling her other things about my health, she agreed to send me everything by email to make the respective appointments. A week went by, and I only received two of the three authorizations. I called several times, and it went to voicemail, they do not return calls. I took the job of driving to the office and asking for authorization and nothing. Doctor Aurelio was not able to do it because it was the nurse who spoke with me and she was busy, so she could not review her own notes. They sent me home with the promise that they would send me an email with the authorization and guess what? The day ended and I was still waiting to get the email. I called before the office closed but of course no answer, no email, and nothing from the offices or the doctors. It has been three months and I have not been able to solve my health problem due to the lack of coordination in this office.

One star. I showed…read moreup for my first visit and paid my deductible upfront just to be seen, which I understand is standard. Before the appointment, the office sent a text asking me to complete online registration. The form asked if I wanted to leave a card on file. I declined, and my appointment was still confirmed, so I didn't think anything of it. When I arrived, the front desk immediately pressured me to leave a credit card on file for "future" charges. The intake staff insisted they would call before running any additional payments. I asked a simple question: if you're going to call for approval anyway, why do you need my card on file? I requested a copy of the policy and, after reading it, discovered it allows them to automatically charge up to $150 without prior notice. That directly contradicts what I was told. So either the front desk doesn't understand their own policy, or they were being misleading. None of this was disclosed when I booked the appointment. I took time off work that I can't get back, only to deal with this. The overall experience felt more focused on billing than patient care. If you're considering this office, I strongly suggest getting it in writing that no charges will be made without your explicit consent or consider going elsewhere.

star icon Your review is waiting!…read more Confirm review DIGESTIVE MEDICINE ASSOCIATES Your Review: star rating icon Terrible I went to this office after I found them on google , was seen by a very nice PA , had a recommendation from her to do some tests and an ultrasound in the office back in December 2025 before the end of the year I went back for my results , as she the PA was going over my results she is discussing with me about my gallbladder being perfect and my spleen not been seen in the report I immediately tell her I had my gallbladder removed 25 years ago , she tells me I?m sorry this report is with a a wrong interpretation I will send it back to the radiologist and will call you back , that never happened in January I had to call and was transferred a million times to medical records and no one was able to help me other than telling me that the report was not updated and the doctor no longer works there and the radiologist is in vacation , but someone will get back to me . At the end they told me to schedule an appointment I did and then they sent me a text canceling the appointment because they don't take my new insurance , spoke to multiple staff members even a supervisor Raimari who told me I have to pay $130 dollars to get my results and little to no care procede to tell me they will send hopefully the results to my primary doctor . So i do not recommend this office if you want accurate results and any type of care for a patient that's in pain do your self a favor and look for a doctors office that actually cares for you must Definitely is not this office. So sad that as a patient you have to take time and stress to add to someone that's not feeling well and gets this type of results. Michelle.
