So much more than a sports bar! We came here to see a friend's band play on a Saturday night during playoff season. The place was packed, yet somehow we got seated immediately and served promptly! The waiter was friendly and gave us time to look over the menu, which included standard burger and wing fare alongside elevated dishes like fried meatballs and firecracker mac'n cheese! The playoff game ran into overtime, so the band started later than expected, but we were well attended to the entire time by the wait staff and enjoyed our meals thoroughly! The meatballs were crispy on the outside but soft and juicy inside. They were served with a trio of pickled items that complimented the dish nicely! The boneless wings had a firm texture and tasted like they had never been frozen. Not sure what brand they are using, or if they are house made, but they far exceeded expectations! When you go to a slightly more posh version of a bar and pay $25+ a person, you would think the food and service would be at minimum passable if not good or great. And while our server was pleasant enough, they only brought out one of our meals and left the other two sitting in the pass for 15 minutes, only to have them come ask us how our food was when two of us were sitting there without our food. Mine was cold and flavorless and for the first time EVER, I sent it back. The whole vibe was just... Yeah. That. Just...just... This is definitely going on the "never going back" list. Came here for the first time in well over a decade this past weekend. Totally forgot how big this place is! Tons of room for people! Live bands play here as well. Took our college team of 33 to Grindstone Tap House. We have girls with different dietary restrictions and everyone ordered an individual meal. They were super easy going and communicated with me leading up to the trip. Upon arrival they were all ready and excited for us. Our food came out so fast and fresh and tasted fantastic. We got a variety of items from pizza, burgers, steak, bowls, salmon etc and everything was GREAT. The girls enjoyed the live band and the staff. Basic well drinks and beers, not really a 'cocktail' place. Food comes out fast and it piping hot - pirogies were good but the potato skins are average. We also were on our way to a musical at Baldwin Wallace, and one of the people in our party had to go find someone so we could pay. The positives were a great area with tons of TVs. Hubby and I stopped in after the home and garden show at the IX Center. This place is right around the corner and we figured we would try it out. We ordered the potato skins for an appetizer and they were amazing! Then we split the Meat pizza which was good. It was loaded with toppings, I wish it was cooked a little longer but it's a stone fire pizza so I feel like any longer in the oven it would have been burnt. We had leftovers and warmed them in the oven and I thought it was better that way. The flavor was good and had a ton of cheese on it. The drinks were cheap and strong! Surprisingly good food for this hole in the wall bar near the airport. We stopped in for lunch and had no problem grabbing a booth. They offered us a brunch menu but said we could order off their full menu as well. I started with the Tortilla Soup and then had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Onion Rings. The soup had the perfect amount of kick to it and the portion sizes were generous. My coworker asked what type of meat they use for their gyro and the waitress acted like it was the dumbest question she's ever heard. We were surprised by her reaction, because we have seen gyros with beef, chicken, lamb, a combination, etc. She responded with, "that's like asking if our mac & cheese has noodles...". We explained that it listed every ingredient/topping but didn't specify the meat, and apologized. I searched for brunch and this Tap House popped up. Couldn't complain about getting brunch at a tap house. I believe they serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays (we came on a Saturday). THE BEER For a "tap house" they didn't have as many beers as I would expect on tap. They offered a little over a dozen, including some of the standard Busch/Yuengling /Miller varieties. They also offered some craft brews, with about a third from local Ohio breweries. I ordered a flight, which comes with a selection of any six beers that you choose from the menu. The samples were generous and a great way to make a decision, since you don't have to pick just one. Chicken wings were not berry tasted. They were undercooked (a little pink inside). THE FOOD @ BRUNCH The menu had many great selections. They have many Benedict options among other things. I can't remember the name but I ordered a Benedict that came with bacon, eggs and topped with sausage gravy. It was delicious. The queso wrap was disappointing. It's basically a breakfast burrito, with eggs, cheese and chorizo sausage rolled in a tortilla shell. We were expecting crumbly chorizo but it was spiced link sausage. The gyro with eggs looked amazing. I didn't get a report from my friend on how he liked it...other than his plate was licked clean. Great food, great service! Our family was searching for tasty eats after attending the Auto Show at the UX Center. As always, we turn to Yelp for recommendations. Our extended family of 7, visited late afternoon on a Saturday. The restaurant is pretty spacious, with a full bar, with tons of seating, separate dining room and a stage. Also looks as though, there is outdoor seating during warmer weather. There was a sign stating "seat yourself" but we were immediately welcomed and escorted to a table when one of the servers noticed that we had a baby in need of a high chair, stroller parking etc. The menu is extensive, appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, pizza, wings etc. We each ordered a different entree and by far, the pizza was biggest hit! Thin crust, plentiful toppings, and flavorful sauce. I ordered the patty melt with chicken, which was served on thick cut marble rye bread, perfectly toasted. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor. I chose sweet potato fries as a side, and I'm pretty sure that they were fresh cut. Other orders at our table included gyro platter, buffalo chicken wrap, bacon burger and wings. The portions were huge. Our server, Jackie, was super nice and very attentive. Somethings are reasonable and understandable but when your food is made incorrectly to watch as the "cook" throws a bowl mad because it has to be made again and then another kitchen staff drops tongs on the floor picks them up and then proceeds to remove food from an oven with those same tongs...was about to lose my mind! I prefer to spend my $$ at local places but if this is what I have to expect then home cooking it is! Manager was nice- feel bad that she should have to deal with staff like that. If a pretzel is going to have any type of "flavor", it should say that in the description on the menu, which it doesn't. The garlic taste was strong and a HUGE turnoff for me. We have been going to the Grindstone for a few months now. As a Native New Yorker, I think I can say "I know great pizza". The brick oven pizza taste great. The Gouda Grilled cheese with slices of apple is amazing. Everyone of our friends has their favorite dish. The owner has been great as well. They do get many patrons and parking gets really full at certain times of the week. They've hosted dart tournaments and wine tastings. Etc. I want to try one of their salads next. read more

So my boys enjoyed watching football and hockey while we had a relaxing dinner. Service was great. Pretzel with truffle cheese was scrumptious. Saved the cheese dip for fries later... I know, but.... One past reviewer mentioned that the beer menu wasn't awesome considering their name. And I would have to agree. For this time of year (Oct), I would have appreciated a porter or brown. I am not a big fan of reviewing restaurant's but I love the Italian Wedding soup too much to let this slide. First video is from today Veggies still raw. I need a knife and fork for soup because of the big awkward not even cuts like chunks of chicken. I had to add my own salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder because it was unseasoned. I am not a baller. $30 on lunch is a lot and it has always been worth it until this. Now the other video is from September 2023. Bomb perfect. I always order 2 so I could have it at home.
