Best döner in Amsterdam. My girlfriend and I went here twice this week. Tried it first as take-away and had to go back to dine in. Good fresh ingredients. Simple, well made meals. Good sauces. read more
I am no stranger to donor kebab shops. I popped into this one for a quick lunch after biking around the whole city for a few hours. There is a tiny alley here that interleaves donor shops and coffee shops (I see what's happening here). This one looked the best from the outside so I chose it. Super friendly people working there (small shop and it seems three people work there, one guy just a hawker, one guy on the phone, and one guy doing the cooking). I just got a meat donor and a soda, with a little spicy sauce. Whole thing was rather cheap. And the whole thing was entirely delicious. Was super funny to watch them run specials in the window to taught people into going into the shop (and make the people in the place across the alley jealous). It was epically delicious...I don't even live near this place but I'd battle the tourists surrounding the square to eat here again. read more

I wish there was a way to give negative rating. People who work here are thieves. We just had our worst experiance in amsterdam. Walking around, my friend and I were specifically looking for a place that takes credit cards since it's our last night here and we were saving our euros for a ride back to the airport. We asked the guy at the door, who was bullying everyone into coming in, if they take credit cards. He said yes, my friend repeated that information loudly to me in front of him. We went in, ordered food, waited 45 minutes for the food. After we were done eating, we asked if they take American express or visa. The guy serving us said they don't take any credit cards, just cash. We told him the guy standing at the door told us that the credit cards are accepted here and that's the only reason we came in. The server asked the guy and he replied "well I must not have heard the question, music is very loud here." We were stunned upon hearing that since we absolutely had no cash on us. Then they told us to leave our belongings in the restaurant and go to the ATM Machine to withdraw cash! Upon hearing this we realized that we had been lied to. They lied to us knowing we had no cash because they thought they knew that once we had eaten we would have no choice but to go to an ATM! But unfortunately neither of us had a "pin" card. So we tried to explain it to them but in vain. They refused to listen and started threatening us into giving them cash. At that point we were feeling so harassed that we offered to pay them in dollars; upon hearing that we had dollars they told us that the euro to dollar conversion rate was 50 cent euro for one dollar!!! We were again completely stunned upon hearing that lie; we showed them the actual rate (which was more like 1.3 dollars for every euro) on our phone and at that point they realized that they couldn't con us and get more money than what we actually owed them so they reluctantly agreed to taking the correct amount in dollars. What's more, the guy at the door changed his story - since we kept insisting that we were told that credit cards were accepted - and started saying that they did accept cc 's and that the machine was now broken! Anyway, we paid those shameless con artists in full - even though they didn't deserve a single penny - and left that place feeling thoroughly disgusted. We really should have called the police but since we don't deal with scums on a daily basis we decided to do right by us and have our conscience clear. read more

The owners of this place scammed us by over pricing our individual meals. Before we entered the said establishment, there were displays of pictures of the meals and they included FRIES, SALAD and the meat of your choice, by this, we immediately thought that the FRIES AND SALAD are included in the price on their menu but sadly no. When they were asking for our orders they never mentioned to us that we would have to pay an additional 2.00eu if we wanted FRIES on our meals. They didn't even ask us if we wanted FRIES included in our meals. Before we were served with our food that took longer than we thought, two Chinese men also complained why their meal was so over priced, all I could hear from their conversation was that they have given them extra meat because there was two of them but the two Chinese men never asked for extra meat. That is when I initially calculated how much would our meal be. I ordered a Chicken Kebab which was for 8.50eu and my friend ordered a Doner Kebab which was for 8.50eu as well. By the time we paid our bill they already added 2eu on each meal we had, saying that the FRIES are 2eu additional on the meal. We contested them with this claim of 2eu extra for FRIES when they advertise their food with FRIES AND SALAD on the displayed pictures. They simply replied, "2eu each for FRIES". This establishment false advertised and scam vulnerable tourists. Keep an eye of these men and their restaurant! You have been WARNED. DO NOT ENTER. read more
