Stopped in this past Saturday passing through to just grab a quick light meal. I don't know if it was inexperienced staff or what, but from step one, walking in the door, socially awkward much? I have never felt so unwelcome at a HOSPITALITY business ever. As a Seattle area resident, I am definitely used to the many fine/small/family owned spots we are so lucky to have. Well, as I said, should have known from the (un)welcome, and the fact that there were no savory, enticing smells when you were inside the restaurant to keep moving. I really respect what this restaurant is trying to do, but I'm sad to report that they're not making the mark. They have a bunch of stuff going for them, the decor is adorable, the staff are pleasant, and the ambiance is nice. Unfortunately,on both visits to this establishment my food bordered between either way too salty or kind of pricey for what you get. My first visit I had the braised pork sandwich. It was EXTREMELY salty, but the price was reasonable. I could tell they made the bread in-house which is commendable, but the food was inedible due to the salt-splosion. My second visit I had the steamed clams appetizer which was actually pretty good, but I was immediately disappointed with the Roasted Chicken, as the sauce it was served with was SALTY. I also struggle to understand how a single chicken breast with some salt-mushroom sauce and some veggies is worth 16 dollars. I really want to like this place, but I'm struggling. We just moved here to Enumclaw anr have been checking out the restaurants in the area. We were able to go to dinner here this week and I am so glad we did. I had the Gnocchi and hubby had the cod. Great food and friendly staff! We stopped in on our way to Crystal Mountain and had dinner. We didn't have a reservation, but we got a table and the feast began. We had stuffed mushroom, French onion soup and a salad to start. Entrees were the smoked pork chop and scallops. The past with the scallops and the potatoes with the pork chop were quite bland, but the dishes were otherwise all quite good. Our server was very friendly and outgoing. We've been here multiple times. The food is fantastic and the service is outstanding! For my son's birthday in September, the owner Amy went above and beyond and delivered the cheesecake. Which is a family favorite of ours. For a small town restaurant, they are doing such a great job. The food is delicious and seasonal. We came here with my mother in law, who has been here a time or two before. She just had to bring us, because it was her new favorite restaurant in town. My mother in law travels to Vegas, California, Nashville, and out of the country frequently for work. During these trips she's been to some of the best restaurants on the planet. So yeah, I definitely trust her judgement. Besides the fact that she's my mom lol. Down to it. The service was impeccable. Our server, Amy, had served my mother in law ( and family ) before and she remembered that my grandma didn't like cucumbers in her salad! Seriously!? That says a lot about her skills. She's only served my grandma once or twice!! She was super attentive and helpful. Food: We were served complimentary Focaccia bread and dipping oil/vinegar to start. The focaccia was baked to perfection. Airy, light and the perfect flavor. What you would imagine bread to taste like in heaven. Seriously good. We had stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. I don't even really like mushrooms and I THROUGHLY enjoyed them. And it didn't come with 4 mushrooms like most restaurants, we got 10 to 12 perfectly seasoned, melt in your mouth 'shrooms. My four year old son came to dinner with us and they had a great kids menu of which he chose to eat the grilled chicken and mashed potatoes. I believe I honestly may have the worlds pickiest eater. He ate his whole plate. Hallelujah. I ordered the oven roasted chicken. Hands down, thee** BEST chicken I've had in my entire life. Guys, it was covered in mushroom tarragon cream and paired with broccoli and the best mashed potatoes I have ever had. We ended dinner with the house made buttermilk ice cream. From the crispy fried calamari appetizer to the homemade buttermilk ice cream, I could literally taste the love so generously crafted in every single savory bite. The gal taking care of the tables was an absolute angel! She took great care of my husband and I, and was very attentive. I walked in as a stranger and left feeling like family. I also learned that this cafe supports local farmers and butchers in the area, and creates their menu based on seasonal availability. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! The food we ordered was great, but: There was only one vegetarian dish on the menu (not normal for modern "American New" restaurants). The server came by WAY TOO MUCH!!! Seriously. Wow. Then we discovered that they sell quiche, that sounds amazing! Vegetarian. Comes with a salad. Not on the menu but on a board we didn't see (bc we weren't facing it) until too late. It was never mentioned when we were inquiring about vegetarian options. Also, they advertise craft beer but nothing on tap. We were brought an appetizer we didn't order. It was on the bill. Brie never came out. They did bring it out late after we asked & comped it (kudos to that). While I'm glad to see this cute new place in Enumclaw, for the price, I was overall a bit disappointed. read more

A very cute and clean cafe. I had the special of the day: Coconut Prawn Lettuce Wrap and it was delicious. I walked 35 minutes from an event at Enumclaw Expo Center and I'm glad I did. My husband followed me to the restaurant and he had the quiche and carrot soup and loved it as well. Dessert of Buttermilk Ice cream + coconut pie is divine. We tried Griffin & Wells for the first time last weekend and it lived up to the hype. The only cook was the owner, so our food took longer than anticipated (we didn't mind, we had nowhere to be). Our waitress offered us a free appetizer and two free dessert cookies to make up for it, and again we wouldn't have cared either way!! They obviously care about their customers and want them to return. On top of that, the food was SO GOOD. I had the steak salad and my boyfriend had the duck. Both were cooked to perfection and so sooo yummy. Be patient if you go in, they are short staffed but doing their best to make it a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be back. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! You can taste how fresh everything is since its locally sourced. The menu has a nice assortment of american dishes and great wines, including WA winery Alexandria nichole. For the gourmet experience, the food/wine is very reasonably priced. The ambiance is small, cute, and quaint. We went on a busy Friday night and got right in, but the food did have a little bit of a wait, but so worth it. If you are in or passing through Enumclaw this is THE place you need to stop for a great meal and a fantastic experience with the staff. We started with the stuffed mushrooms and carrot soup and then my wife and Ingot the Gnocchi (and added chicken) and the bacon wrapped scallops. Both were made with care and expertise and above all, super tasty!! We finished off the meal with coconut pie (a MUST) and the cheesecake and carrot cake.
