I ordered the Farmer's Salad, but I was brought soup and bread with a delicious spread before dinner and a cinnamon sugar caramel fried dough dish after the main course for dessert. The salad was exceptional, of course, as were all of the other dishes served. The price was extremely reasonable given the quality of the meal and the top-notch service. 10/10 would come here again! Edit: They only take cash, so make sure to have some on hand when you come here. There is an ATM nearby if you need one, though.

We ordered 3 different dinners and 3 drinks. Souvlaki, gyro platter and gyro "bake". All were great! Very plentiful. Upon finishing, we were delivered a homemade desert of deep fried dough balls drizzled with honey/chocolate and dobs of whip cream. Very tasty and again, at no charge!! Then Yanni, the owner, dropped by with free shots of ouzos, which he too had with us!!! Very great service and the personal touch of the owner is what makes a dining experience memorable and worth what you pay. Don't be deceived by the sign on the building ("Hirsch Weinstube") and no sign with the restaurant 's name, you are in the right place (as the menu by the door will attest). There are several different rooms within, so while it is much bigger than I had expected, it didn't feel too large once you are seated. Service was typical, but with the nice touch of rather than asking loudly whether I wanted an English menu, they quietly just gave me one (I clearly can't pass for German yet). My lamb shank in tomato sauce with pearl onions and roasted potato slices was fantastic. The lamb was perfectly cooked so that it was fork tender but not mushy, and the pearl onions and tomato sauce with it were delicious. The roasted potato slices were also nice done, if somewhat plain with just some salt and pepper for seasoning. With the pearl onions or lamb though, they gave a nice little crunch. While the prices were perfectly reasonable (€20 for an entree and beverage), the atmosphere is a little more upscale (plenty of jeans, but all with button down shirts or sweaters). Overall a great combination of reasonable prices, good food, and a slightly nicer atmosphere makes this a great choice for a date night, treating guests, or just grabbing a nice meal when you don't feel like cooking.

He also recommended the restaurant "restaurant Elias" where hotel guests received 20% off food. The restaurant was very nice and their food was authentic Greek food. Would highly recommend staying at Athos and eating at restaurant Elias.
