A lot of the negative reviews for Lakeland Bus Lines are from angry daily mass transit commuters…read morewho are using social media as an avenue to vent for a negative experience. I just wanted to say Lakeland Bus Lines handled shuttle services for our wedding day flawlessly. Pickup, dropoff, ride quality, bus quality, everything was absolutely perfect. If you are looking for a vendor for shuttle services, look no furtther than Lakeland Bus Lines. Big plus, if you get matched up with Bryan Mazzarisi. He is absolutely the nicest guy in the world and will answer any question you have. All in all, thank you SO much Lakeland & Bryan!

I want to share a serious pattern of behavior I experienced across three separate staff members…read moreduring several trips with this company: tour director Debbie Card, tour guide Lisa, and bus driver Sean. Debbie Card repeatedly crossed professional boundaries throughout multiple trips. She was condescending to me the entire time, closely monitoring my movements and narrating everything I did, when I simply wanted to be left alone. I was polite about it, but that only seemed to encourage more of the same behavior rather than less. On one trip, she put her hands on my shoulders and physically walked me through a dining room, forcing me to sit next to her and Sean, both of whom intimidated me with personal questions the entire time. When I tried to explain that I simply wanted to sit by myself and enjoy my own company, she became loud and obnoxious about it. She also made condescending remarks to my teenage daughter, criticizing her for wearing a jacket in the summer -- an inappropriate and unnecessary comment from an adult in her sixties toward a young teenager who was doing nothing wrong. Tour guide Lisa was reportedly cleaning up a coffee spill nearby -- I was reading my magazine and hadn't said a word or given any indication of an issue -- yet she put her hands all over my legs and shoulders, patting me condescendingly as though I had caused a problem or needed to be soothed. I had to tell her directly to take her hands off me. "I didn't even say anything," and yet she still treated me as if I had. She also had a pattern of insinuating I was causing problems where none existed -- for example, when I simply walked past a building, she commented, "Oh, you're trying to get in the building, are you?" as if I had done something suspicious. I later told her explicitly that she needed to be professional with me and limit our interactions to itinerary information only. Rather than respect that, she twisted the request and used it against me. From that point forward, she manufactured problems and turned the staff and other passengers against me, seemingly unable to tolerate a passenger who was simply calm and enjoying herself independently. Bus driver Sean added to this hostile environment. During the dining room incident, he was part of the intimidating personal questioning I was forced into. Separately, he commented on my appearance to other passengers, acted overly familiar as if he knew me personally, and gave me dirty, intimidating looks without provocation throughout the trip. I paid a single supplement specifically to travel independently within a group setting, and chose a group tour for the logistics and safety it's supposed to provide. Instead, I felt targeted, unsafe, and taken advantage of by the very staff meant to ensure a safe, respectful experience. I complained to the company directly, and absolutely nothing was done. Their response was essentially that if I didn't like the tour guides, I should go elsewhere -- no retraining, no accountability, no real acknowledgment of the pattern. I spent a significant amount of my own hard-earned money across several trips with this company to be treated this way, and they showed no interest in fixing it. This is not a one-off bad experience -- it's a pattern across three separate staff members and multiple trips that speaks to a much larger problem with how this company trains, manages, and holds its employees accountable. I would strongly caution anyone considering booking with them, especially if you value being treated with basic respect, safety, and independence.

Since I moved to NYC, I've been taking the Martz bus to visit my family in Scranton pretty regularly. Let's say 6 round trips per year. I have never had any type of issue. I don't think the bus has ever been even ONE MINUTE late leaving Scranton or leaving PABT. While you do get a nice mix of working professionals from the stops in the Poconos, your stereotypes about *who* is taking the bus if not traveling for work are going to be pretty accurate. Is it painful to pay $133.99 to have to sit next to someone who spends the whole trip eating and talking on their phone? Yes. Have I witnessed people drink personal alcohol on the bus? Yes. Did I once witness a man--while on the moving bus--call Martz customer service (rather than speaking to the driver) to ask for the bus to be stopped due to cosmetic damage on the bus's exterior? Yes. Still, these people are greatly outnumbered by respectful commuters. It's not perfect, the price is way higher than you'd expect, but it gets the job done. The peace of mind and quality time with my family has been priceless.

You can call customer service but nobody will answer (even when you are second in line) or call you back. The online reservation system is confusing. It's actually one area where Greyhound is pretty good. I had no idea if my bus was late or not, and to switch to different bus is impossible online. It seems all geared to make you call the customer service number that nobody will answer

Bieber Bus Terminal - They charge $29 for a one-way ticket to NYC, yet wouldn't spring for 2 ceiling tiles. Nice.

I called Sunday as the website says to print tickets (who has a printer anymore) the bus driver will not look at your phone for proof. So when I called on a Sunday the young woman or girl who answered said I could buy a ticket from the bus driver. She said the address was 12 mechanic street. I called back again as I was unsure the address was correct after researching it and she added again with more attitude than the first time that it was 12 mechanic street. I apologized before asking and after asking and tried my absolute best to be as nice as possible in order to obtain correct information. When I arrived at 12 mechanic street it was a bunch of homes on a dark residential street. I then walked ten minutes at 5:30am to the sands casino, where I found a worker leaving for the day who told me it was a 17 minute walk to the rite aid on a Main Street after the casino. 17 minute walk is very far with a roller bag, and why would a representative give me the wrong information twice. What if I was with my 2 year old daughter, or my wife. IT GETS BETTER. I finally made it to my 6:30am bus 11 minutes early. I approached a parked bus completely drenched in sweat and said "good morning sir is this the bus to 30th st station and can I buy a ticket from you" bus driver said in the absolute rudest tone "this bus goes to New York" and slammed the door in my face. So I went inside to the little shack and bought a ticket. CASH ONLY. Nothing written anywhere on the website, and since I was told to go to the wrong place nearly 20 minutes away twice, I'm guessing the Bieber bus company DOESN'T want your business. GUESS WHAT IT GETS BETTER. I got on the bus and passed out and wound up at 30st station. As the bus driver was opening up the luggage area I simply asked him "can I go right in here to get a train to the airport" he took a deep breath followed by a sigh, looked at me like I was the dumbest person on the earth and said "there are 3 ways to get to airport, by train, by taxi, or you can walk" Does anybody know how to help others. I wasn't sarcastic or unpleasant or condescending to anyone and these people working for this company were all rude with misinformation. Honestly when machines and robots do this particular job the world will be a better place. The Bieber bus company gets you where you need to go but you will see the people running the show are the absolute worst people alive. Do your research cause if you are traveling Bieber you are in your own.
