This is specific to the car wash at this location. I came to this self-serve car wash with pretty modest expectations--I wasn't looking for perfection, just a functional wash for my car. Unfortunately, even those basic expectations weren't met. I paid $3 in quarters and tried all 10 "modes" they advertise, like wax, rinse, and soap. Despite switching through every option, the sprayer consistently output the exact same thing: the same speed, color, and consistency. It honestly felt like all the modes were just pretending to be different when they were clearly the same generic substance. 95% sure it was regular city water. To add insult to injury, the scrubbing brush didn't work at all. I gave it several tries, but it was completely non-functional. I wasn't expecting luxury, but I did expect something that actually worked. This place let me down in every way. Definitely not worth your time or money. read more

Called them up because I am visiting from out of town and needed a same day in and out job done. I needed to get my serpentine belt and idler pulley changed since it was making noise and squeaking. The lady at the front desk asked their tech and he said if I got it in quickly that I would be next in line. I brought them in my own parts to expedite and they quickly got to work. After only a few minutes the techs asked me to show them where the noise was coming from and they understood what I was talking about. After about another 30 minutes they said that it didn't necessarily look like it needed to be replaced because there was no rips or tears but there was a couple of small wear marks. Because I was on a roadtrip, I asked them to do it anyway just to be safe. They discovered a knocking sound coming from my alternator as well but said it was nothing serious and should just be kept in mind for later down the road. All in all the visit cost me $198 for their service (I brought in my own parts) and it was all done very quickly. I am exceedingly pleased with my experience here and highly advise anyone to bring their business here. read more

Godbless James Michael, Pat, and the Entire Gressman team, I wish I could give them 10 stars. My family and I traveled with our F-250 diesel truck to the southwest from California. Out of the blue, our truck just stops and it won't restart. We called AAA and at the recommendation of Walker towing, we got our truck and travel trailer towed to Gressmans. This happened on Saturday and they were closed. the Gressman family was nice enough to let us stay in our travle trailer for the weekend on their property until they opened Monday. Well, they opened Monday and the first thing they did was take our truck inside to get started working on it. How about that, right? James Michael the son was able to find our problem that left us stranded literally in like 10 minutes. Was a bad fuel pump, so they ordered a new one that day, and 20 minutes later it showed up. I walked inside to firm up some numbers and information, then guess what? They started working on it RIGHT AWAY! I'm so grateful to James and the entire Gressman family who got me and my, wife, son and dog back on the road with a diagnosis and repair by late afternoon on the same day they opened. It's now Tuesday and I'm happy to say that my wife, son, and dog are back home in California SAFE! The truck made the 11hr+ trip and didn't skip a beat. James Michael is the sharpest mechanic I ever had the chance to talk with, this man knows his trade and he knows DIESELS. Traveling across country, we had an airbrake line blow out in our 40' Class A RV. Being unfamiliar with the area, I called three other shops first, all of which would not help. Firstly they (James Michael) did what needed to be done. However in my haste to leave to catch the solar eclipse, I never check the reciept. I figured the high price was the parts not test driving cost. Test driving where I was the one driving! At $175 a unit and the unit being a mile!!! A complete ripoff! My part came to $114 and I received a $625 . $455 for 2 test drives, where AGAIN I did the driving. Bothe rides together took a total of maybe 15 mins. The issue was my wheel earings needed replaced taking the tire off took 20 mins and putting it back on was even less time. I really wanted to recommend this place, but I can't in good conscious. BEWARE make sure you get an estimate before they start the work. I asked for an estimate and never got one...even though I requested it quite early on. In conclusion good work very bad communication and excessive charges for test driving that I did the driving for. read more

I was traveling thru new mexico on may 13 when my 2011 subaru overheated. they charged me $1050.00 to put new thermostat in. i got one mile down the road and my car overheated again. i drove straight back and they told me good luck. i ended up driving the overheated car to dealership and traded in for a new car. I'm 72 years old and have never been scammed that bad ever. these people are very dishonest and crooked. if you have work done make sure you get an estimate first and a good back up mechanic. 108. for antifreeze, 270. for pressure test ,270. for test for gas's, test fan control 150. combustion detector kit 75.00, labor 750.00. did not fix a thing either. make sure you get a written estimate on anything over 100. as stated in new mexico law which they did not give me. I am not a mechanic but i took receipt around to other auto shops in the area and they all told me the bill was shameful. mechanic also told me that once i reach arizona, the road should be flatter and might not overheat. read more

Where to start? I went in for an oil change on my RV. I was told it would take an hour. Problem #1 - when they drained the oil they used a 13 gallon receptacle to catch 15 gallons! Problem #2 - they didn't have the oil on-hand, which is fine. However, we sat there quite a while before they figured out no one had ordered the oil. A call was put into NAPA who delivered the oil. Problem #3 - only six gallons of oil were ordered. Remember, they drained out 15 gallons. Problem #4 - I had to drive my Bronco to NAPA to pick up the rest of the oil (in fairness I suggested this to speed things along). Problem #5 - After the oil change was complete I waited an additional 20-30 minutes while they tracked down the cost of the filters they had received hours earlier. Think they might have done that while I was out at NAPA or any other time prior to needing the information? Bottom line - it took four and a half hours to change my oil!!! One more item and before I write it let me point out I am neither pro-gun or anti-gun. I'm common sense-gun. There are dozens and dozens of "we'll shoot your ass" type posters on the wall. Having sat there for an eternity I found the one that says they shoot customers who complain less than funny. I found it unprofessional. We were traveling from Tucson to Ruidoso when the brakes on our 5th wheel started working only about 70 % of the time. Of coarse it was Sunday. Monday in Ruidoso I started calling around. I had a local RV repair man recommend Gressman. When I called they said I could come in the next morning. When we got there we were in the service bay within 15 minutes, half of that waiting for a delivery truck to move. Within 20 minutes the problem was found. It was immediately fixed. They then spent about 45 minutes making sure the problem was definitely fixed. It is unheard of to receive such swift service plus doing such extensive work to make sure all was OK. I truly expected to be there 8 hours of more. I wish there was a similar repair shop in Tucson. read more

Took my car to get catalytic converter replaced , was told they would keep my car and the part should come in in 4 days. A week went by with no word from the company. Was never notified that the wrong part was ordered and that it should be another week until I called to touch base. Another week and two days goes by until I decide to go to the shop to have a mechanic tell me my car was ready the day before but I was never informed my car was ready. Cost was over $1300 and took almost three weeks for the one part to get replaced. read more

We were passing thru Alamogordo and had a problem with our van. They told us to come on down. They put it up on the lift and I inspected with the mechanic. I was expecting to have the fuel tank removed and a major repair. After a thorough inspection, the mechanic found a minor thing that was of no real significance. I will not use these guys again. I was quoted a price to replace 2 axle seals that was almost $100 less than what I was charged when I went in to pay for the repair. When I went in to pay they said they only quoted me labor which was an outright lie. I specifically asked for the total cost and they even broke it down for me into parts and labor when they quoted it. They were simply dishonest and I have found it is always best to avoid anyone who is capable of dishonesty. They might have a reputation for doing good work but so do others. If you are dishonest with me you have lost my business and I will not be afraid to let others know about it as well. Not only that they told me they would call when the repair was done. They did not. I called them 3 days later and they said it has been done and setting here. The least a company can do is keep their word when they tell you something as simple as calling you when it is time to pick up your vehicle. Not good business. read more
