Doctor quoted $1500, didn't say per eye, but that was assumed, also did not advise the significant other charges, apparently only felt the need to quote her charge. Grene Vision charges for the doctor ($1500) and for the lens ($679) per eye. They refer you to Team Vision for the surgery, who charges over $1900 per eye and then they charge $920 for each lens. Doctor talked into the great new lens that was not covered by insurance and didn't state that is would cost $3,200 for those! Total amount charged was over $10K by 2 facilities, doctor and 4 uninsured charges for 2 lens. Good thing they had to write down some for the insurance company, but we still ended up out of pocket over $5K. The cataract surgery was very successful, the doctor was surgically very good. The office help was very confused at both facilities and struggled to answer billing / insurance questions. Would not recommend unless you have deep pockets.

After my longtime optometrist retired, I was assigned to a new doctor who rushed through my appointment and didn't seem interested in the vision concerns I tried to explain. The support staff was great, but the actual care felt impersonal and hurried. Then came the billing nightmare. Their phone system makes it impossible to reach a real person, so I had to go to the office in person to resolve an insurance filing mistake. That issue was supposedly fixed in February 2026, and I was told my account was fully paid. Yet in May 2026, I received another bill for $35. Whether this is ongoing disorganization or something more concerning, it's unacceptable. I can no longer trust Grene Vision Group with my care or my billing, and I won't be returning.

Initially, I…read morewas surprised as I had gone to two other nationally recognized ophthalmologists who specialized in LASIK and both told me I was a perfect candidate. Both of the other doctors missed that I had a history of severe dry eyes whereas Dr. Patel knew from just a 10 minute eye exam. I ended up getting PRK and on the day of my surgery, I was guided through all my questions, concerns, and given detailed instructions on what to do post surgery and what to expect during recovery. The surgery was surprisingly quick and painless. I was given a goodie bag with drops and lubricant. I followed the directions (use the lubricant liberally!) and although the first couple days were painful and I mostly slept, I could see decently in about a week and almost perfectly within 2-3 weeks. It's been nearly a year from my surgery and I can't begin to tell you much my life has improved without glasses. I'm so glad I listened to Dr. Patel's advice for PRK because even though the recovery time was longer, I have zero issues with dry eyes. I've never felt more appreciated and cared for at any other doctor's office than at WVI.
