Just save yourself the trouble and look for another auto shop. Here's why: My side mirror recently go smashed. I ordered a new part myself, and wanted to see if they'd paint it for me. I bring the part to them, which has a signal light installed inside, so yes, its electric. "Mario" says, "Lets go see your card." So he takes the part outside with him. DID I MENTION ITS RAINING OUTSIDE? Seriously?! Bringing parts like that in the rain. I brought the dang thing to them in a box, with bubble rap, TO KEEP IT SAFE. I have never exprerienced such bad customer service in my life. I got rear ended and took my car in to get the bumper replaced. When I got my car back I realized that they DID NOT attach my back seat to my car until. When I took it back on Monday to let them know my baby had been in the back seat (in a car seat) and she could have been hurt if I would have hit the brakes suddenly or been in an accident they said it wasn't a big deal. They tried telling me the weight of the car seat would have held the seat in place even though I told them that I noticed it wasnt' attached when I took her out of the car seat and the entire seat moved. I also mentioned to them that my paint looked dull on a part of the bumper so they supposedly repainted the car (leaving me without my car for another 3 days) and when I got my car back it looked the same. I had to take my car back in a third time so they could fix the paint issue and also to have them put the CORRECT name plate on it because they not only put the wrong name plate on my car but also in the incorrect location of where it belongs. They also didn't properly attach my bumpber to my car. They are very careless and unprofessional. I honestly don't know how they are still in business. read more

I was originally recommended to Greg's by State Farm as they are the local preferred shop, but didn't know any better so I took my car to the dealer as it was only a month old and I was naïve. I had just gotten my Saturn a month earlier when in a parking lot someone backed up into me. I took it to Saturn of Santa Ana, where I bought it, and they sent it to Campbell Paint and Body (out of business) because Campbell owned the Saturn dealer and when I got it back there were runs in the paint and dried drips all around the bottom of the bumper, I didn't look in anymore detail, that was enough. So I sent it back as unacceptable, the second time I got it back it had no drips, but specks of dust under the paint, again went back unacceptable, after all it was a brand new car. It seems in my experience that specks in the paint are common as I have seen them more than once. I told them that I was going to send it back as many times as it takes to get it perfect. At that, they essentially said nevernind and told me to just take the car and bother someone else if I was going to be that picky. Really?!?!?! That I want my brand new car to actually look like a brand new car instead of a paint job that looked like some friends and I did in the driveway, which on my previous car I had done my own body work, and painted it in the driveway at home, but it was a beater car, that I had just sold and spent $19K on this car a month ago. By the way, I stopped getting my car serviced at Saturn of Santa Ana with that attitude. So I called my insurance agent back and asked where she had said to take it... Greg's and when picking up my car from Greg's I could not find a single flaw, and I was looking after my experience with Campbell and it was finished on time. I had the car for more than 5 years and the paint never faded, flaked, peeled or looked any difference from the rest of the car when I traded it in nobody could tell it had been in an accident. The whole process was easy, it just gets taken care of. I'm sure there was a complete estimate and billing, but makes no difference to me as State Farm was paying, in fact I don't know if Campbell ever got paid or if State Farm paid twice. But I learned, since insurance is paying I will take my car to the best. An artisan like Greg rather than a production like shop with dozens of cars waiting to be fixed from dealers around town. And the best part of the whole ordeal... I asked Greg NOT to install the front license plate bracket, so I had no ugly bracket and no holes in my bumper from removing it. The bracket was in my trunk in case I ever needed it, I didn't. I have recommended 3 people so far to Greg's and they are all completely satisfied also. read more

Nothing is ever their fault or responsibility. What do I mean by this? Let me share a little bit of a story. Upon dropping off my vehicle on a Tuesday I filled out my information and requested please contact me not my dad. Why did I state this? Because my father has an umbrella policy and even though I am insured he oversee the whole policy. Later in the week, they text my dad with the automated message saying please click this link to see the progress of your vehicle. But, I didn't know they messaged my dad. On Friday when I called asking what happened to my car and the estimate of completion the guy said the estimator was outside and he will call me back in 5-10 minutes. I never received that call. It wasn't until Monday when I called my insurance agent about these issues she said that is weird. She made a few calls and then out of nowhere I started to receive text messages of the progress of my vehicle. I then picked up my vehicle that Friday (almost a full two weeks to fix my front bumper). Upon picking up my vehicle I told them about these issues and why I wasn't contacted they said it because of this umbrella policy my dad has and he is the one contacted and this is an insurance issue, not Greg's issues. I said this is weird because the vehicle has been worked on 3 times and each time I said please contact me not my dad because he has this policy, and guess what. Only Greg contacted my dad the other two places contacted me instead. Upon getting home I noticed my antenna to my vehicle was a little bent. After not seeing my car for two weeks I couldn't remember if this was how it was when I dropped it off. I had to check with my family if it looked like this when I dropped it off. They claimed it didn't look like that. For me, this was the first time anything like this happened. So to my issue, I didn't bring the vehicle back till the next Friday (a whole week from pick up) because I called my insurance and asked them what I should do, she told me to bring it back to Greg's and talk to them. Upon returning they said they had some photos (they show me two from the same angle just different sides of the vehicle). These were poor photos because you could barely see the angle of the antenna. They claimed it already looked slightly bent in that photo so it wasn't their fault that it was bent more. They refused to look at my car which you could see the antenna was bent even more. They said sorry but they can't do anything about it and refused to admit any blame or fault of their own with the whole situation. I hate to write this because I have been there twice already and they were excellent and maybe it was just me but just in case be careful. I took my van back to get a window replaced and some small body work, and it turned out to be a mess. I spoke to George and after being convinced the damage on my vehicle was minimal I told him to just replaced my window. When my wife took the van in they were trying to get the motor on my door fixed(it caused the broken window) but she said she would speak to me. I had already agreed to only the window with George so I did not think anything of it. Today when my wife took it back as we agreed, she was told the window was not in but the motor was. Something that no one on my side agreed to. After speaking to Jamie she pretty much told me it was a miscommunication between my wife and I (she made me laugh so hard) it happens all the time with couples, she also said my insurance agreed to replace the motor. When I called the insurance they said that nothing was in the notes from them or Gregs about a motor which I already knew. When I asked to speak to Greg she said that's why she is the manager. And when I asked if Greg was refusing to speak to me she said yes and I was asked to pick up my vehicle and go somewhere else. A lot more conversation happened that made me feel very uncomfortable so I agreed and had my wife pick up the van. I really hope Greg is aware of this and chose not to speak to me but if he isn't then be careful out there. Does anyone know of a new body shop in Whittier I can use in the future? read more

Don't waste your time. In summary, 1) poor workmanship, 2) when you come back to show them what's wrong, they blame it back on you that it was already like that, 3) they think you are an idiot when it comes to car and hope you go away, 4) there lifetime warranty is worthless. I was rear ended. To avoid any hassle, I asked State Farm for referral thinking they have done their due diligence. When the repair was complete, I noticed the rear wheel well was coming undone. When I brought it to Mario's attention, he blamed it back on me saying it was already like that. This is an area State Farm paid them to remove and re-install. After he could not argue this out, they blame it back on State Farm saying they needed more money for parts and labor to get it right. Upon vehicle inspection by the State Farm adjuster, he concluded it was not done right and they made them redo the work. I brought the car back in and Mario still have not apologize or taken responsibility but then start talking like I am a village idiot. Telling me the glue residue is wax and the wheel well is one piece, once you place rivets, if it sits crooked, they can't do anything because it is one piece. It's like saying, the hood as 2 hinges, if they bolt it on and it closes crooked, it is one piece. Can't do anything. Or, you buy a cabinet and install and if the door is crooked, well, it is one piece. How about, installing it right? and there is such thing as called "alignment" so it will be straight. When I picked up my car for the 2nd time, finally, someone admitted it was poor workmanship and was apologetic. Why did we have to get State Farm re-involve again if you take ownership of your work? Still, the work is crooked and now, the area where the rivet goes is now ripped. I am tired working with them and have asked State Farm to get it fix in another body shop. They swear they are a quality Company. Quality Company is not only define by the quality work but when there is something wrong, you are proactive in resolving the issue. They have not done both. They only try to resolve the issue because State Farm made them. They unwillingly did it and it was reflected in their attitude when I dropped my car off again for the 2nd time. read more
