They are located in the Trenholm Plaza, which since I graduated from college has turned into real shopping destination. The items in the store run the gamut from jewelry all the way to upholstered furniture. I love the mix of textures in the shop. It's easy to feel intimidated in a place like this, but several staff members asked if they could help us. While we ultimately didn't find what we needed here, I have no doubt that next time we are searching for something that MACK will be on our list of places to stop! MACK also offers interior design services for both residential and commercial spaces. Follow them on Facebook to see more great photos and keep up with special offers.

This is a wonderful store with an eclectic mix of unique pieces of furniture, home furnishing, artwork, jewelry and other accessories. The thing that drew me in the most were the items that make a house feel like a home... an adorable set of salt and pepper shakers, a fabulous bar set, or an adorable set of cocktail napkins that would surely liven up any party. The store goes on forever (I never realized how big that space is) so you'll have plenty of things to see and choose from. This is a great place to pick up an unexpected gift or a little something for yourself. I'm sure I'll be stopping by again soon!

Recommendations for Renovations with Ellen Taylor Interiors (ETI)…read more If you are embarking on a kitchen renovation with ETI, here are our recommendations, based on our experience this past spring: 1 - Make sure you give yourself leeway in your contract with ETI to get competing bids, when Ellen Taylor brings you estimates / bids for material and work. Ellen told us up front that she would provide "contractor prices" for the various subs and materials. In practice, many of her estimates were sky-high, which complicated schedules and caused "issues" and scheduling delays when we sought and then, accepted, more reasonable alternative bids. 2 - Do not let ETI schedule the replacement of (hardwood) floors in your kitchen (and bathroom), prior to the electrical, plumbing, painting and tile renovation work. We believe strongly that the floor should have been finished last. We paid $5,200 (including Ellen's fee) for brand new hardwood floors ... which we will never enjoy as new floors. We were very stressed after the floors were finished, during all the remaining work. We expressed our serious concern before the floors were installed; Ellen and her assistant assured us that they "did this all the time". We feel this was very bad practice, and unnecessarily cost us much anxiety and worry, in addition to wear and tear to our brand new floors. Also, ensure that the floor installers cover your cabinets with plastic before the work; ours were not, resulting in unnecessary mess. 3 - Know the ETI person you will be working with. When we contracted with ETI, we thought the 20% management fee would be for Ellen Taylor's involvement. We were then assigned an assistant. Meet the assistant ahead of time, and make sure you are happy with paying for that assistant's time at 20% of your renovation budget (or whatever management fee you are charged by ETI.) 4 - Consider contracting with Ellen Taylor for design advice on an hourly basis, and not for renovations. We were much happier with her design input than with any part of the renovation. (Wear your "bulletproof" ego jacket; we found that Ellen was not especially diplomatic about design choices you make/ have made that she disagrees with.)

This firm talks a good plan but delivers no more than can be found though a simple Google search…read more After contracting for design services on a house reno, most of what they presented was either ideas I originally brought to them or stock photos grabbed from the internet. Also, be advised that the prices on goods from them will be high-end retail with a 20% management fee added. I did contact them concerning my disappointment and, over two weeks later, I have yet to hear back.
