My mother-in-law recently bought a sectional and a chair at the Mountain Home location. The…read moresectional was not in stock and had to be ordered. She was asked to pay for it before she got to see it. She didn't see it until it was delivered to her house. After the delivery people left, she noticed that the back of the sectional pieces were not level with each other and that the seams on the front weren't level from one piece to the next. She called to see what could be done about this. Some people came to her house and said that the pieces were assembled correctly and that there wasn't anything that they themselves could do about the issue. She was asked to take some pictures and send them in. Those pictures apparently were sent to some higher-ups somewhere. I don't know where. After several days, she got a response that there was nothing they were willing to do about the issues with her furniture. They won't let her return the sectional. They won't give her a discount. So, BUYER BEWARE!!! If you do choose to darken their doors, I would suggest you make sure you get to see what you're buying before you pay for it. Another thing to be aware of is the way their warranties are structured. She agreed on purchasing a warranty thinking there would be one charge for the sectional and one charge for the chair. The sectional is five pieces and they charged her five times for that and once for the sectional. That probably is in writing somewhere but seems a little sketchy to me. We have been customers of Hanks in the past but in the future, we will take our money somewhere else.

I've made a few bucks on guitars bought from Big Steve's, the most profitable was a 12 string grabbed unstrung for cheap and sold for several hundred once cleaned up, put in a case, and tuned. Played great. I'm not buying bullion or jewelry from a pawn shop, but their magazine prices are very good if you find oke for a weapon you own. Canik mags are usually $35 for a flat base factory mag, $40 for extended mags. I nabbed a 20rd mag for $20 in FDE, which matches my TP9SF. I was surprised to find one sitting there. Ammo prices are just about on par with the online market as far as I can tell. Gun prices for consignment items aren't really on the shop, thats more likely the consignor assigning a value.
