A month after he supposedly fixed the problem with a wedge resection, it was still too painful to wear closed shoes or even socks. I suspect he didn't perform an effective treatment because of the pain I was in while he was treating me. But instead of offering me some effective anesthesia, he just gave up and stopped, leaving some toenail still digging into the toe causing it to start getting reinfected. Then he had the nerve to send me a vastly overpriced bill later! Dr. Kalker was able to fix the toe, he was very sensitive and caring and discussed everything he was doing. His assistant was wonderful too, and sweet. They used a decent needle-free freeze anesthesia that really did the trick. A few days later that foot was in good shape again! Later I got notice from my insurance company that he put in a very reasonable claim. I sooooo wish I had gone to Dr. Kalker first instead of the quack podiatrist whom I shall name and write about if he insists on charging me the full overpriced amount. Now the other toe that the first podiatrist also worked on is getting problematic again because he didn't do a proper job on that one, either. So it looks like I may be heading to Dr. Kalker's office again.
