In all honesty we were thinking of going to somewhere like Subway because there really isn't a great lot of choice when it comes to lunching in Worthing. Two young girls from Busby's were giving out free samples of foccacia bread, which of course I just HAD to try (it's free, why not), and I am really so glad I did. Foccacia has a tendency to be quite dry if it's not done very well, however, hand on heart I have to say it was THE nicest bread I have ever tasted. Needless to say, my friend and I went straight to Busby's to see what else they had on offer. They bake various types of bread, fresh on the premises daily as well as cakes and biscuits. I bought a rosemary foccacia, and some sort of garlic and herb swirl with feta cheese. It was absolute heaven. My friend and I ended up going back every single day that week, and encouraged a lot of our friends and colleagues to try the bread from there too. I sadly no longer really to Worthing for anything any more, so I don't get to eat any of the delicious breads from Busby's. If you are in the area however, I do highly recommend it.

This store is located just outside of the town centre, on a road with a couple of other sandwich shops. It has been there a while so they must be able to compete successfully with the others. As it is located in the vicinity of the University it is very popular with the students. The University gym is situated just around the corner and it is very tempting walking past the shop on your way home from a workout.

I was first attracted to the window, it is clearly a favorite bakery with locals and is filled with yummy treats! We tried an Apple strudel and a cinnamon pastry twist. Both so good. We also got scones to take away and share with friends. And shortbread too! The services was quick and very good! Check it out, if you love a good bakery you will love this one and it's surroundings!
