This is a small little establishment, on the main drag of the Lisburn Road, and benefits from the shoppers and from local residents I would imagine. Their pizza is lovely, and their service is always with a smile. I really have to be in the mood for pizza, but any time I've had it here, it's always hit the spot. It's an intimate little place, so don't expect massive tables or lots of room. Because it's so small, you can let them know you want a table and if you have to wait any length of time you can nip over to the Chelsea wine bar and have a couple (or ten!) drinks while you wait for an available table. You never have to wait too long in my experience. The staff could not be more obliging and I would fully recommend this as one of the best Pizza Restaurants in Belfast.

Greens Pizza is situated right next to a Pizza Express on the Lisburn. If you decide to ignore Greens and go for the chain store you're insane. The food here is fantastic and I couldn't recommend it enough. There's no need for a booking and its BYOB which is always advantageous, especially for the student community which lives around the surrounding area. They also offer lunch time deals, which I've not taken advantage of (yet). This place is great if your a pizza lover like myself and want to stray a little further for the pizza huts, dominoes and pizza expresses of this world.

Greens can really hold its own when it comes to pizza. It's a highly popular pizzeria on the trendy lisburn road and you literally feel yourself foaming at the mouth when you know you're coming here...mmmmm. The pizza is superb and the prices are very good especially considering Domino's charges 15 quid a pop for a large (seriously folks?). They do a great lunchtime offer of pizza with either garlic bread or salad for £6.45. The evening setting is also really great. They don't take bookings, so if the place is full they take your number so you can pop out for a drink and then they ring you when your table is ready, pretty cool! Its also BYOB which is always a good thing in my books!

    Yum

Loved it! After checking out Brewbot and sampling a few of their stronger beverages we suddenly…read morecame over all light headed, not sure what happened, but we knew that some hearty grub might help quash the feeling so we headed on to the Ormeau Road where there's plenty of choice. Ambrosia was the first place we walked past and we didn't bother walking any further. Italian food was just what we needed and guess what, it was BYO too! Only £3 corkage per bottle of wine! Ok so less about me and more about Ambrosia; the decor was traditional with prints of Venice and the hills of Naples on the walls. The huge glass front of the building shines light in on the restaurant giving it that clean natural feeling. The waiters were authentic Italians, distinguished chaps, smartly dressed. I did a mini fist pump when I saw them as I then knew Ambrosia was a family business and the food was bound to be good. I wasn't wrong! We went for the Spaghetti Carbonara (we added chicken for £2) and a Vesuvio Pizza (Pepperoni, Jalepenos and chillis). The portions were huge and we decided to share our dishes having half pizza and half pasta, this didn't feel at all out of the ordinary as it would in a posher Italian and not an eyebrow was raised. The Carbonara was full and flavoursome and I didn't even need to add any extra seasoning. Compliments to the chef! The Pizza was doughy and a drenched in toppings - just the way the Italians like it! Ambrosia was amazing - we will definitely be back! BYO is a massive bonus too - a great place to start a night out!

I previously reviewed this place as 4 stars but each time I visit Ambrosia it keeps getting better…read moreand better so I'm upping them to 5 stars. Ambrosia is a lovely little Italian. So far I've had starters of breads, breadsticks, olive oil with luscious balsamic, tapenade, sundried tomatoes and olives. Mains of Spinach and Ricotta Tortellini in a cream white wine sauce, veggie Giardiniera pizza and tonight the amazing Vegetable Calzone. Desserts are luscious too, especially the absolutely delicious tiramisu. It's BYOB wine or beer which is always great and the service is amazing. Staff are lovely and the vibe here is relaxed. Plus Ambrosia serve the best coffee I've had in a very long time. This is an excellent restaurant - I will be back for more evening meals, lunches and desserts!

Incidentally I didn't have pizza and didn't hear any jazz - no sign of bleeding gums anywhere! Ended up being a great place to meet. Really handy from GV Station and the City centre. Coffee was pretty good too. I went for a filter coffee and my pal opted for a fanta orange. There was even some free wifi to use. They were cooking up a storm in the kitchen and the pizza's smelt delicious, unfortunately I had to rush off to another meeting. The staff were great - let us have a table even though we weren't eating - I'll definitely have to go back to try the grub and I noticed they had beers on tap too. Great place for a pre theatre meal and a few beverages! Who knows I might get to try their offerings at the Pizza-Off!

The place itself is nothing special but it looks very Christmasy now and I appreciate that. You can "hide away" at one of the back tables which again is a quite good arrangement I think. Staff was very attentive throughout the night and even though we were not paying customers (I mean we only paid for a couple of drinks) they were really helpful providing great service. Also, their entry to the pizza off was a really nice one, not my absolute favourite but I would be a happy customer if I ordered that one - and I'm a bit fussy about my pizza ;) Overall, I am happy to get to know this wee place and definitely will be back to try their menu.
