GreenOvations is a lawn care company - services provided include fertilization (of grass), aeration and seeding (again, for grass), weed control (in grass), and lawn pest control. Hmmm...never realized how easily those services could be mistaken for something, well...different.
Their mailing address is in Hillview, but they provide services in Elizabethtown. Their website says they serve Jefferson, Hardin, and Nelson counties, but specifically lists Etown, Btown, Radcliff, Vine Grove, and Louisville (in case you were wondering).
Their six times-yearly maintenance service helps keep grass (and not weeds) growing in some of the shadier, poor soil areas of my property. House might as well have been built with a kiln. I've been a customer for right around eighteen months.
Here's why they get four stars: I work from home, when I'm not traveling. By chance, I've been home every single time they've walked onto my property. And I've watched them attentively do their jobs and noted what services I was billed for, and things match up. It usually takes them about a half hour to forty-five minutes to spray the whole lawn, working methodically and effectively. Sure, I guess, I don't have a way of knowing what they're spraying, but a) the results are good and b) their competitors don't even make the effort to play-act.
The previous lawn care company I contracted with was seen repeatedly driving up (once, in a freaking late model Mustang - trunk couldn't even hold the amount of hosing necessary to reach an average yard), dropping bills (and even recommendations for additional services) off, and driving away, when their large sprayer trucks hadn't been seen in weeks.
GreenOvations works from what appear to be clean, maintained, labeled pickups, with gear in the bed. Staff are friendly and never leave fence gates un-latched.
I do wish I had a better idea of when to expect them generally, though I understand that specific service windows would be difficult with weather, and other factors. For example: I have multiple properties serviced in Elizabethtown under different accounts and it has been up to 10 days between when the same treatments are applied.
It would also give me a chance to minimize both the yard-poo from the furbabies and their concentrated and energetic bat guano response to perceived stranger danger that inevitably occurs during my conference calls. read more
