I am so grateful to send my daughter to Greenleaf Friends Academy and confident that we have have positioned her for success spiritually, socially and academically. My child is surrounded by really good, genuine people that deeply care, and love Christ. That's the culture of Greenleaf friends Academy. Having recently left the public school system, I can say 1st hand, we are seeing beautiful things come out of this decision. Our daughter is so deeply happy to be at school and i Know it is because of the loving environment and presence of the Holy Spirit. After knowing in my heart that something was missing in the public school system and community, I can say with full confidence, it was. The difference is 1st the love of Christ but also the small town awareness that everyone is SOMEONE, you don't honk or yell in line, because you'll see these people everyday. For me, this creates a sense of accountability, familiarity and safety. The kids get it too and that's how life in abundance operates. I'm so grateful to know this and rejoice with every child and parent that gets to experience it themselves. Like a family, there is a close knit love at this school, that breeds life, confidence and joy. Whip on top of that a classical Christian education and a parent can rest in absolute confidence. So it's year 2 now and I don't even know where to begin. GFA is like a home away from home for our whole family. ALL our kids are thriving here. They are involved in sports and ASB, they serve others, they have deepened their personal relationship with and understanding of Jesus, their teachers go above and beyond all.the.time...there's just something SO unique about GFA...you can feel it when you come here. Kids that you'd never see hanging out together at other schools, hang out together here because the community is so different. We are family here. Some kids are from white-collar families and others are from blue. Families that attend here are from all walks of life which makes for a very rich and diverse culture here. And if there's a need on campus, people come out of the woodwork to help and serve. I could go ON and ON! We thank God every day that we found this place. And we moved from SW Boise last year so we could be even more involved at GFA. It was worth every second of the packing and unpacking to have our kids closer...although there are families who DO make the drive every day and they would tell you it's worth the extra travel time just so their kids can be a part of this community. This review is coming from an alumni: The school has the potential to be decent, but they often let amazing faculty and staff go that truly support the students and replace them with people who are not adequately prepared to teach the subjects at hand. Many of the staff have been caught gossiping about students which is highly inappropriate. Children of faculty and staff are favored and it has been found that the school elections are rigged to favor such students. There are no AP credits available, which sets students behind in college. The school is also constantly looking from handouts from current families and alumni. I would not recommend this school in the slightest. read more
