The last time my husband tried to take recycling there, it was 15 minutes before closing and the owner yelled at him about why he couldn't bring it earlier and he refused to take it from him. I just want to notate that my husband works in Aspen, M-F, 7AM-7PM in Aspen so he cannot go there on weekdays. He spends every Saturday morning cleaning the copper he brings there in extra preparation to recycle there and I don't think the owner needs to criticize him if he brings him there before the business closes or maybe he should change his closing hours if he doesn't want people to bring things after a certain time.

I called number on website and found they had moved and also changed their hours and were closed. Ugh. My bad for not calling ahead. Luckily, I had other business in Glenwood so my 2 hour round trip drive wasn't for nothing. As I didn't feel like unloading my truck or making a special trip I drove the extra 30 minutes RT to Green Zone Recycling in Silt, my old standby. I've been taking stuff to Green Zone for years and they rock - always super friendly and happy to have the business!

Since they have changed their service policy, I requested a prorated refund of my autopay monies. I was told that I forfeit these monies and there is a cancelation charge. How is it that possible when they breached the service agreement they made with me years ago that clearly stated full day drop off hours M-F, then shortened to 9-3 and now again shortened? Well, I would rather cut my losses now and go with the locally owned service with curbside recycling and lower prices (and much better customer service). To be fair, we always had great service at the curbside pickup with only a rare missed pickup (usually due to weather). Have been a customer for 13 years.
