This is one of those lakes that sit in my mind namely because as kids we would pull over here for a break on the trek to Melbourne, and go for a swim. In fact, having a beach really did set this lake a part from many of the other lakes that we had passed, that has nothing like that. Oh, and the rest area is pretty cool as well. Mind you, for years this lake was pretty empty, but that isn't the cafe any more. read more
