Actually, they were over the fence, and our neighbors were pretty anxious about it. To remove them or trim them up was our question. He said we could do either, but if we decided to keep them he could trim it to where the neighbor's properties would be out of harm's way. We decided to keep everything, and they shot us an estimate right away. We scheduled a time for them. They were right on time and ready for action. They got busy on the water oak right away, and she looks beautiful with her new "do." They had to remove a section of fence to get their equipment in the backyard, but those guys were pros with fences. The river birches never looked better. The neighbors are happy. I'm happy. And except for an improved landscape you could never tell they were here! They cleaned up everything and left it as neat, if not neater, than before. I took them less than four hours for the whole job. No surprise pricing either. The total was exactly what was quoted. These folks are the pros, and I'm happy we engaged them.

FOLLOW-UP…read more Background: I have used Yelp for years, multi-year "Elite". We recently built a home on rural waterfront property we have owned some 15 years. We have used Possum's 6 or 7 times over the past decade. Jobs included removal of several trees of various sizes, about half with stump removals, plus several multi-tree tree trimmings. We have 3+ac with many trees. Recently, there is a recurring problem. Their "front-man", Rusty Oliver, comes out, assesses needs, and gives a verbal estimate. So far, so good. However, when the work crew does the work on-site, they always want to leave without completing the agreed-on work. The work they do is fine, but they always try to leave 10 or 20% not done. This has resulted in many minor disputes with Rusty re-visits, then work completion, then payment. I don't think the company is dishonest, but they do suffer major internal communication trouble. Possum's has adequate equipment, personnel, and expertise. They are capable of doing very good work. I am not saying to not use them, but I do advise detailed documentation of any agreements before Rusty leaves the first time. Next time, I'm going to take photos first. It has been sad to watch the problems caused by their lack of clear internal communication & documentation. Rick
