Ambience is quiet and intimate. --- Review regarding breakfast --- Breakfast was a terrible experience. Although staff was friendly, it took 40min for food to be served. When it finally arrived, the portion was very small and the taste was nothing more than medium-low average. When the bill came it was the also a disappointment. Still hungry, we paid over 100zł for two people for breakfast. Which I consider above average for the area, food taste and portion size. Unfortunately Batida's experience was way below our expectations. Hope you have better luck!

We saw the bartender make it and he put so much love into the drink. Really Impressive. He got his and we waited for mine. And waited. It was over 10 minutes (I know that from my check-in time) and I saw my drink on the bar (hott beer with ginger) and the waitress and bartender were arguing about it? She left it on the bar and continued helping others. I guess somethig was wrong and she refused to bring it to me until it was corrected? The drink continued to sit there. After about 5 more min the bartender just remade it and the waitress brought it immediately. It was super tasty but only luke warm and the wrong size. But I just enjoyed it anyway. Glad the waitress was lookin out for me. I am not sure if I would come back though (due to the struggling team work) with so many other bars nearby.

At this hour of the day, the selection of bread and pastries was rather limited (which is understandable) so I tried the "pain au chocolat", croissant, and regular "baguette". The "pain au chocolat" and "croissant" were both good although they could have used a little more butter in their preparation. On the other hand, I was disappointed by the "baguette": it lacked sponginess and felt dry. You might argue that this is due to the fact that it wasn't bought fresh out of the oven in the morning. But anyways, a good "baguette" should still be good at 4 p.m. and is usually still OK the next morning. I don't think I'll be going back for their famed "baguette" as there are other bakeries/shops (e.g. SAM) where you can get good bread in Warsaw. All of these undoubtedly won't be using flour imported straight from the Fouché mills in France but seriously, who cares ? (Nice marketing though)
