My fiance and I called so many different companies, some of which would not even return our calls and emails. With the year's first heat wave, we decided to fire up the A/C- turned on the thermostat, but nothing happened. Checked the usual problems (thermostat batteries, circuit breakers, etc.) and even tried replacing the thermostat- still nothing. Finally had several people come out and they all confirmed the controller board on the furnace had died. With quotes between $800 and $1,500 to replace it, we decided it was time to just get a new system. We've been in the house 14 years, and the system was here before us. It turns out the duct system had never been upgraded since the house was built in 1975. We had over a 1/2 dozen companies come out for estimates, but we were most impressed with Paul from Green Air Solutions. First, he was one of the few who came out who had booties to wear over his shoes in the house. Second, he was very patient in answering all our questions and giving recommendations without any hard sell tactics. Third, he got us a great deal with a payment schedule that worked out for both sides. The entire project involved replacing the A/C and furnace; replacing all the duct work; and cleaning out the old insulation in the attic, cleaning/sterilizing the attic floor (we'd had rat issues in the past), completely rat-proofing the attic, and putting in new insulation. Although it was much more that just replacing the circuit board, we're confident we won't need to worry about anything related to the HVAC for many years. Plus, we don't need to worry about cleaning up the rat-related issues in the attic- something we've known for a long time, but kept putting it off. The work crew came out and installed the system on schedule. They took great care to put down tarps to protect the flooring and tape up plastic sheeting to keep the dust to a minimum. Our attic is very low and hard to move around in (not to mention very hot), so kudos to the workers for working so well (and quickly) in the environment! They also replaced the insulation around the skylight tubes (a previous contractor had done a crappy job- just using duct tape to secure insulation, most of which had started falling down). At times, we may have been like the proverbial clients from Hell, asking lots of questions and being very demanding and exacting. But they worked hard with us throughout the entire project cycle to make sure we got what we wanted and were happy with the final results. Their associated company also does home remodeling work, and we've already talked to about additional projects we'd like to do (bathroom and outdoor patio). Mike (the owner) came out and gave us some interesting recommendations that we hadn't thought of before. read more

I received a call from these guys last week letting me know they were working in my neighborhood and were offering a 1/2 price service/maintenance package. they were offering following HVAC services: Air duct cleaning and free air filter install- Furnace tune up and Air conditioning t5une up, gas leak and carbon monoxide level check etc. : They installed a free air filter after using the Heppa-vacuum on my ducts. My old air filter was loaded with gunk, debris, dust and who knows what else! I noticed a change in how my home cooled off right away. READY FOR SUMMER MONTHS! AWEFUL! Management sucks. The staff was full of lies & Mike Moyal was a total jerk and not nice at all! Super unprofessional. Spoke back and raised his voice to my my family and I. The other guys were super nice and very respectful, but they didn't know how to answer simple questions or would send you off to another person who would send you to another person! They sent 18 year old kids to install an AC unit who were not licensed and could not legal do electrical work to code. How they haven't been shut down is beyond me. The young worker were really nice and respectful, but they didn't understand what we were saying and asking of them and they had to be told to clean up there mess. What company runs their business like that? Mike Moyal was practically yelling at my family when we told him we wanted a licensed electrician to come out and do the electrical part of it to make sure it was done to code & done safely. Great Company!! Our heating and air was old old old so we decided to replace it all. We got several estimates and Green Air was the most reasonable. Ben came out, explained the different options, explained the differences, and then left the decision to us. No pressure. We were sold. The installers, led by Jorge, arrived on time (very rare for home improvement workers) and were very efficient, professional, and friendly. They did an amazing job and took care to make sure everything was clean and tidy before they left each day. When an unexpected glitch required a change in plans they were professional and solved the problem without missing a beat. The entire unit was installed in two days as agreed. After the city signed off on the permits, one of their workers even returned to touch up some of the paint on the outside of the house where the old unit was removed!! I have been having some issues with my 4 year old AC unit. Everyone that came in to figure out the problem wanted to replace the unit with a bigger one giving me crazy numbers. So I called Green Air for an estimate. Leor from Green Air came in to give me an estimate. He instead checked my current unit and realized that my unit is leaking refrigerant and advised me to call the guys who installed it to come for a service call. Beware. They contract the install with someone else, they rushed the install of the system and the ground where they placed the condenser was completely uneven. I made them straighten out the dirt before connecting. This was fixed because I could see it in my backyard. I have no idea what other corners they cut up in my attic. More importantly, they failed to properly balance my new HVAC and don't receive any air to 2 rooms. I called them and they replaced 2 of my vent registers on the ceiling which didn't correct the problem. I called them again and they said there is nothing they can do. He made a straight forward with details and professional. He gave me a fair honest price of $3,200 to replace the whole ductwork in the attic. I had to hire an asbestos removal of $900 since my house was built in 1959 because I was not aware of the asbestos taping on ducts. The ductwork installer Miguel did a good job sealing all the ductwork and completed the job on the same day. Overall, I give Green Air Solutions 2 thumbs up. Kudos to Paul and Miguel. read more

Dishonest company that I regret choosing to replace my ancient unit on the roof of my place! Had my unit replaced in April 2018 and the one issue they had was doing wiring to run a new thermostat to replace the very basic one already in place. Back and forth talk started about how to figure it out and a couple months go by with nothing being done. Started calling again in September when it wasn't 100+ degrees outside any longer and back and forth starts all over again with yes we can go through the wall, ok how much will it be?, let me check and call you, oh wait no they can't get the wiring through the roof, we don't know how to do that. Ummm what? Frustrating as it was with work that I asked for from day one and told multiple times would be done not being done, I never had an actual problem with any of the employees of this company. My view of this company completely changed the moment I talked to the owner Mike. One of the most arrogant, selfish owners I have ever talked to! He was trying to tell me reasons about why the job is not done that I was never told before. Severe lack of communication with this company for sure! Then when I mentioned some kind of refund, even minimal, he basically laughed at me saying the price was for his guys being out there and when I countered with but the work that it says would be done wasn't so I don't understand why I don't get anything back he starts going off yelling that I got the best deal out there, I should be happy with what I got and so on. I had it at that point! Never want to talk to him again. No apologies whatsoever with a dissatisfied customer that was basically lied to for months over work that couldn't be done. I got a quote for insulation to be blown into my attic because of the limited crawl space (12 inches). The estimate included the possibility of opening the ceiling to reach all areas. When the 2 men came a few days later to do the job, they evaluated things & were able to do the job without cutting into the ceiling. Saved me $300. They did a great job. Cleaned up after themselves, even asked for a broom to sweep the driveway. The insulation makes a noticeable improvement to the temperature of our home. Overall great service. Leor knew what he was doing. After the service he and his technician did, my system stopped working. So why the 5 stars? Leor came back, on Superbowl Sunday, to fix it. For months we had appointments with the city inspectors and either they were late or would send a worker that knew nothing about the system and couldn't do what the city required.
