Then take a stroll around the beautiful garden center. It was great to see the lush plant life that's so diverse from what we have back home in Colorado. The selection of sweets was just what I wanted and not the kind of stuff you'd find at the grocery store. And the books! A little something for eveyone and I good sense of humor. I was lucky enough to be see some of their Christmas displays and they did not disappoint - Harmonizing doo-wop penguins and a rock and roll band of Santas! The only downside was that my luggage was too small to let me take home all the souvenirs I wanted to pick up in the shop.

We went specifically to get a plum tree. We got a lovely shaped specimen and were given good advice about planting and pruning. The chap we were speaking to also recommended a couple of jasmines and we bought a few annuals too. He kindly tied up the tree and helped us into the car with it. The creepers and tree have really taken hold in our garden, thanks to the good advice, and are growing nicely this year. We're hoping to make another trip out to Thompsons later this summer.

An excellent local garden centre. There is a good stock of plants, vegetables, fruit trees, shrubs…read moreand garden ornaments. There is ample parking and useful trolleys to use for your purchases. The shop area houses a large range of garden furniture, water features, books and gifts as well as a large range of house plants including orchids and some exotic species. There are also many types of garden compost and accessories including paving and stoneware for garden landscaping. Overall a very pleasant place to browse for your gardening needs.
