Horrible. I went there for the first time, and the last time. The beautician did not introduce herself to me -- which is unprofessional -- so I don't even recall her name. The first thing I told her was NOT to wet my hair, but to cut it dry, to which she agreed. I have short, thin hair, which curls right up as it dries so you can't tell how it will really look if you cut it wet -- I explained all this. I then told her I just wanted a trim, to shape it up, in the same style it already was. I also told her not to use clippers. She didn't understand how I wanted it -- which is fine -- so I explained it should be layered to give me height on top, and cut out around the ears. She suggested cutting my hair 3/4 inch, and I said that was ok if it would still keep the same style I had. She then sprayed my hair WET. I wish I had walked out right then, because the cut would now be ruined with the wet hair, but I am too nice to do that. When i told her she was supposed to cut it dry, she took out a blow dryer. I told her not to pull my hair at all when using the blow dryer, because i didn't want it straightened out in any way, when it was cut. She proceeded to do just that, holding onto my hair with her fingers as she dried it. (My hair is short enough that there was no need to hold it to keep it out of my eyes -- she was actually styling it with her fingers! Again, once she started to do it, too late to reverse the damage.) I desperately needed my hair to look professional the next day, and didn't know anywhere else in the area open at night, so again, I stayed. She then cut half my head and asked if I liked it. I told her I couldn't tell what the cut looked like when only half my head was done -- and i have never, ever been asked this. The way it is normally done is the beautician will cut it a certain length all over, then ask if you want it cut more. When half is already cut, what are you going to say, "No it's too short, leave the other half longer and uneven"?!!! I told her this and she didn't understand. Meanwhile, she had cut the bangs which i specifically told her not to do. She also took the liberty of cutting straight across the back of my neck without asking me if i wanted it straight across or wispy -- no one ever, EVER has done this. It was too short to then make it wispy. The most awful part was she cut my "sideburns" a full 2 inches -- again, without asking me. She must have thought I was a man, because that's what I left looking like. Cutting all that off, left my brown hair fuzzies showing on my face, so now I had no choice but to have her either wax them off or use clippers. They had no wax. She then asked the other beautician to take over, which I thought was a great idea. I told her use the clippers ONLY down the jawline. When i felt the clippers on my actual face it was too late. Now I have a line going down my face where she used the clippers as well as a scruffy feel like a man's beard, that will take months to grow back. At that point I said i couldnt take it anymore and politely left, with only one side of my head cut, except for those sideburns, which both employees were not capable of even making even with each other. (When i asked to make them even, she said that one side was hitting on the same part of the ear as the other side. SERIOUSLY? Who the heck cares -- ears are not all exactly even -- the hair has to be symmetrical (which she said she did not understand), not the body parts! She's supposed to look at my face in the mirror, not at one side, then the other! Where were these people trained??!! At no point did either of them apologize, not even to say they were sorry it didn't work out, or sorry they wet my hair then blow dried it causing it now to have an unnatural look. I wound up luckily finding an affordable place that was open, and they agreed there was little they could do to fix the damage that was already done, especially since the hair was blown out, which ruined it for the night -- all they could do was to even it out. I wouldnt be leaving this review it was just the one employee who ruined my hair and was incompetent, and had no manners -- but it was two of them! Seriously, unless you already have a specific beautician, there, that you love, stay away! Stay far away! read more
