I had THE most difficult time finding any information on Brazilian Blowouts in Wichita, so I'm…read moreadding it for you now! After moving here from California, I was surprised at the lack of salons that did Brazilian Blowouts. I called many of the larger salons & some had their own versions of hair straightening but the cost was $350+ and many did not allow you to wash your hair for 3 days afterwards. Luckily, I found Brandy at Salon Brands, who is licensed to do actual Brazilian Blowouts & for 1/3 of the price that the larger salons charge for their own versions. I've gone several times & love the results. The results last between 10-12 weeks on average, and my hair is a night & day difference. No wait time - you could immediately go swimming right afterwards if you wanted to! It takes about 1.5 hours for my hair (a little past shoulder length & fine, but curly). The only downside is I don't think I can live without it now! :-)

Took my clippers in for service a few weeks back and when I dropped them off I filled out an…read moreextensive sheet that gave them multiple ways to contact me regarding my clippers. A week and half passes and I haven't heard anything from them, so I call and check and the guy seems helpful but really has no clue about the clippers. So, he tells me to call back the next day between 10 am and 2 pm. I tel him I will try but I also tell him I'm not sure if I will be able to SINCE I ALSO HAVE A JOB. Sure enough, I'm unable to get away from the training I'm in to make a phone call during that time. So a couple days later I call again to politely check-in about my clippers since conversely, no one has called me either. Or emailed. The same guy answers the phone and when I politely indicate that I was calling to check on my clippers - he jumps down my throat demanding to know if called between 10 am and 2 pm. As a side note - no where on the form I filled out did it indicate that was the only timeframe I would be able to get follow up information about my clippers. I'm so shocked by this dudes reaction to my question that I just hang up the phone. My husband sitting next to me, hears the entire thing and calls them back asking where they learned their customer service skills. He then asks for the manager, he is told they aren't in and then the guy starts yelling at my husband "WHAT YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING TO GET ME FIRED?!" Over and over again. My husband said, "no? But I would like to talk to him about your customer service skills." The guy on the phone is belligerently yelling at my husband, refusing to give his name, so my husband hangs up. The next morning, it's like a Christmas miracle - the shop owner found my phone number and called me (before 10 am - much to my shock, I'd not receive any contact from them that I didn't initiate even though they had the form I filled out) but, I wasn't able to answer (because as stated, I work during that timeframe) and he told me what was "probably" wrong with my clipper but not to worry as he wouldn't be servicing them due to the phone call. I would give zero stars if I could and I would take my clippers elsewhere, but Weiss seems to be the only place in town and you'd better not call and check on your clippers outside of 10 and 2.

NEW LOCATION!! I…read moreabsolutely love coming here to get my hair done by Melissa. She genuinely cares about her clients and does an amazing job. I may live in Florida, but I can't bring myself to go anywhere else. I love trying new things on occasion and she is always ready to go. She does do walk-in but it's better to have an appointment as she is typically fully booked a few weeks in advance. I'm fortunate on my last-minute trip here that she had a cancellation this morning and could fit me in!!! Now let's talk about her new location! Love! She is near QuickTrip so you can grab a snack and drink right before or after your appointment. Plenty of parking and easily accessible off east central. That sleek modern feel of fresh grays, silvers, stainless, and black furnishings with touches of greenery for that natural element to bring the outdoors in.

I'm a victim of over plucking my eyebrows in the early 00's; because of this, I was forced to fill…read morethem in everyday with pomade. Filling in my eyebrows, had become time consuming, frustrating, and a great source of insecurity for me. I had consulted with Amy about shading them in, to give me a cleaner, more full, natural shape. Amy was incredible to work with. She knew I was extremely nervous doing permanent makeup, on my face- her confidence in being able to give me the look I was wanting, as well as the knowledge of the procedure + what to expect of the healing process, did much to calm my anxiety. The experience was *extremely* comfortable, with minimal pain. I, honestly, could've fallen asleep during the procedure. I appreciated the aftercare products and in-depth instructions on how to take care of them. By the time my 6 week touch up appointment came, I had figured out what areas I wanted added to- which was helpful, because some of these things I wasn't initially sure I wanted. I'm extremely greatful to Amy for having done such a fantastic job on my eyebrows. I no longer have to go through the tedious routine of filling my eyebrows in everyday. They look incredible - super natural, and the shape was exactly what I wanted! I highly recommend Amy to EVERYONE needing cosmetic tattooing!
