The past 2 years were more frequent visits as Mia started showing signs of aging. Most recently, Dr. Jackie responded to our call for help after hours with care and compassion as Mia was not well and the decision was made to have her euthanized. This was such a hard decision to make as Mia was a huge part of our family since she was 10 weeks old. Dr. Jackie did not rush us out of the office and allowed us the time we needed to say our good bye's. A big Thank You to all the staff at the Winkler Vet Clinic for providing great service!

We decided to contact Winkler vet clinic while we were back home in Winnipeg for vacation. Their quote was less than half, and they did a phenomenal job with equally phenomenal after care. Our LA vet kind of mocked the idea of a rural vet but when they evaluated their work ended up very impressed. We saw them again recently (6 years later) when our dog needed another surgery. This time the cost was a quarter of our local vet, they squeezed us in, and performed the work quickly and flawlessly. The vet remembered our dog from before to make sure everything was holding up w her prior surgery (it was). If we still lived in Winnipeg these guys would be our #1 choice. Worth the drive!

Not very happy with the experience.. I was booked for my first appointment with Dr. Delores…read moreFaucher whom I was very glad to get an appointment with as having moved from BC I was anxious to meet with an experienced and local vet who would get to know my pets and vice versa. Upon my visit no greeting by the front desk I told them I had an appointment with Dr. Faucher for 3:30 P.M. I was a little bit early and was told off for being early and was told it would be another 15 - 20 min wait. Not a problem I could wait in the car. When I did go in I was rushed into a room by front staff and a vet who did not identify herself and thinking that I was being seen by Dr. Faucher for a first time examination plus fee, 2nd A Heart Worm Tick Borne Disease (blood test). 3rd an anal gland expression. My expectation was a veterinary professional will greet and get to know me and my dog - their breed, age, medical history, and any relevant medical concerns and any behaviour changes I may have noticed and any medical issues. The medical exam consisted of being told the computer was down,no information taken and no record given when I left. My dog did not receive a full examination only listened to his heart?? Then rushed off to express the anal gland and blood test. On her return I was told come back in 2 weeks we will take care of the anal gland expression for now he is sore let us start with medication. On to the blood work I wanted a copy of his blood work with his name as both my dogs were going to get their blood work done and I wanted to see two separate reports. I was told we would get the results within minutes. Once again I was rushed out by the front desk and was told medications were ready and to pay. Where is the vet no where to be seen, where are the blood work reports - none just recorded that they are done and here are the medications including for their tick and heart worm prevention.I would think that a blood test should have been performed first prior to any prevention medication being given as the costs for medication is not cheap and what if the animal is tested positive should we not have prevented this instead of over dosing our pets. I also noticed that the Metacam label prescribed indicated give 5kg dose orally once a day (my dog weighs 12 lbs) vs the dosage on the box indicates 0.2mg /kg weight of the dog for the first dose and thereafter 0.1mg every 24 hours. Cost $521.82
