I had heard horror stories from friends about the many offers on the many houses they had submitted before they finally were accepted. Or the crazy seller's request that they had to accept just to be in the running for the property. I was astonished that I wasn't in a crazy bidding war and didn't have to waive any inspections or take the property "as is" just to get into contract. There was some back and forth, but for the most part everything moved quickly and easily. Not being from New England there were so many things about the properties that I was unfamiliar with, including heating systems, septic tanks and dealing with snow. Working with Mark I learned about the many things one must take into consideration when moving to a 4 season climate. It did take me a bit to find the right house, but Mark continued to work with me until I found one that I was really happy with. I would highly recommend Mark and his team if you are looking to buy a house in New Hampshire!

There were even a few surprise gifts waiting for us at our new home! Mark is detailed oriented and responsive. He hires fellow Porcupines, refers them for jobs, and on top of everything, he supports Porcupine ventures and the FSP through donations and his time. How great is it when you not only like your real estate agent, but he is a true professional as well, always looking out for what was best for us. Mike helped us negotiate a great price for our new home in Los Angeles (seller's market) as well as making sure we got top dollar for the home we were selling. We chose Mike because he was brought in to take over a Redfin listing near us which hadn't sold after stalling for months. Mike sold it in a week. Once we saw how efficient and effective Mike is, we knew he was the agent for us. It's been a pleasure through and through, and since Mike and his wife had a baby during our listing, we feel like he's part of our family. In July 2022, I was contacted by the CEO of this business who was hired to perform the closing on property to which I held a mortgage and was owed past due child support of $20k. In order to receive the child support money owed, a Mortgage Release "urgently" needed my signature, but, I knew, my signed release could not be utilized until the day of closing, because the money from the sale would not be available until then. Phone calls and emails were exchanged, all with the intent of $20k coming my way as soon as the closing occurred, after receiving my signed release of course, which was a necessary closing document. Once I knew the closing was done I began my quest to obtain the $20k legally due me. Closing date September 20, 2022. About 2 weeks later, I Received a Fed-Ex envelope with two documents only. 1) a check for $18k noted on stub that $2k had been previously paid to me, and 2) a faded copy, of the front only, of a check dated (?)2013, made out to me for $2k. That's it. No cover letter, no cancelled check, no signed by me receipt for the $2k or note that it was intended towards child support. I immediately contacted the CEO to inform her that she is in error, this was wrong. That $2k was NOT for arrearages. What is going on!?!? How or why would she have anything to do with court ordered child support? I'm finally getting paid and my Ex is still trying his best to stiff me!! It's Nearly 12 years and 2 grown daughters since, is it possible there were other transactions between exes regarding their children? This Broker is not a judge and has no AUTHORITY to modify the monies legally owed to me. Had she received a plethora of similar checks would she have taken all $20k ? It's only because the Broker is in control of the funds that she was able to do this. She overstepped the proper boundaries of ethics and misappropriated the monies owed me from the closing. This is wrong. The person in charge of the money needs to be able to be trusted. I demand the full $20k owed to me since 2010.
