We have used this business for 15 years, and Craig has a real customer focus. We order laminating or binding products, and they are here the same day, or the next morning. read more

I go to this newsagency often as I'm in the area a lot. Here, I like to get magazines, scratchies…read moreand candy. As far as I could tell this is a family run newsagency because on school holidays, I see their kids hanging around the shop. They're such nice people who work here. They don't tell me off for browsing magazines, even though I take longer than a browse should take. Don't worry, I do end up buying it- out of guilt. But I'm happy to support their newsagency. They've got a healthy range of magazines towards the back of the shop and lots of candy and drinks at the front. With the fashion and gossip magazines, I can tell you all the current magazines are always on display. I have not yet caught them selling last issues, unless you specifically ask for one. The shop is always tidy and they've got a really strong aircon pumping through the shop. It makes for a nice pit stop if you're in the area just to cool down. Really nice shop, filled by a great family who run it.

You can also purchase Go Cards here but you can't' top them up. They stock your usual newsagent and post shop wares, with some snacks, cold drinks and milk, and the prices are average for this kind of business. Very friendly customer service.

This newsagency is a good place to get some rarely found web design magazines. If you ever needed…read morethem. Now that Borders has closed, I've found it hard to find these magazines such as WebDesigner and .Net. I had to resort to buying them online, which I guess is cheaper, but it takes a long time to arrive. It is slightly more expensive in News Xpress by around $5. Here you can also find plenty of other speciality magazines and the rest of the usual newsagency products. They have good staff and excellent customer service where you will always find them smiling. A good newsagency all in all, and especially for stocking the magazines I love.

This place never fails me, and as a print media magnet I rely on Premier News to have a new and exciting magazine every time I come in! Of course they do the usual newsgency things and sell cards, stationery, lotto tickets and the like. The staff are always lovely and have even gone to the effort once of ordering a magazine in that I was dying to read! It's really the huge range of mags that tickles my fancy though. There's everything from sport to yoga to architecture to music. It's a hub of creativity down that middle aisle, and I love it. If you're on the hunt for a hard to find mag, than give these guys a call. If they don't have it in stock they will usually source it for you.
After Borders was disgracefully shut down, my friend was in shambles realising he couldn't find the…read moremagazines he likes. We've searched so many newsagencies to find them so we resorted to him ordering online- which, I suppose is fine. Then to our surprise while we went to pick up some goods at the Merthyr Village in New Farm, we went to the newsagency and low and behold, there they were staring back at us, all three of them! 'Computer Arts', '.net' and 'Web Designer'. After 3 months, the search is over. This place is cool. While other newsagencies don't stock the creative mags, this one does. It must have to do with the demographics of the area of New Farm. They must have thought, "Well yes, all techies, designers, creative's live or work in this area, and so therefore we should stock what they want!" And thank goodness they do. The only thing is, buying online is much cheaper, even including the shipping. While it is £8 online, it is $25 in store... Ouch. I suppose what money does buy, is the experience of purchasing magazines traditionally. You walk up to the stand, pick your magazine knowing you're walking out with it, but you still flip through the pages before you check out. In some ways, it's worth the $25.
