I spoke with James Holmes and hired this company to do a small landscaping job…read more There were MULTIPLE issues along the way. The end result at this point is that the job was NEVER COMPLETED and JAMES HAS NOT RETURNED A $748.50 PAYMENT I made for half the invoice. ISSUES 1) James didn't put me on the calendar for March 16th after we spoke the day before and him saying he would stop by to check out the work I was wanting to have done. Okay... no big deal. It was a Sunday and he came the next day. Followed up with a professional quote via email soon after. 2) On the day work was scheduled to be done, April 5th, I didn't hear from James until I reached out via text to see if he was coming. He replied that he had been looking for my number... by this point we had spoken on the phone, texted, the company had emailed me and I had paid $748.50 for half the job to James on Venmo. There were multiple, multiple ways to contact me. Okay... it was raining and the explanation he gave of sod not being available due to the heavy rain checked out. 3) April 14th James said he needed to issue me a refund because he wouldn't be able to complete the job. He was dealing with a tragedy in the family and was taking time away from work. I was supposed to receive a refund in 7-9 business days. Okay... obviously a tragedy. I would have even understood some delay in him processing the refund. 4) When the refund didn't show up after 13 business days, I texted James. He had always been responsive prior to this but all of a sudden was unreachable...except when I called from a different number. I tried to make him refunding the money as easy as possible... I sent him a Venmo request to send the payment back. I emailed the invoice I had paid. When I did speak with him after calling from a different phone number, he said he would look into the refund issue. IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN 1 MONTH NOW SINCE THE JOB WAS CANCELED AND THE REFUND PROMISED. THE JOB HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED AND THE REFUND HAS NOT BEEN MADE. CALLS, TEXTS AND EMAILS HAVE NOT BEEN RETURNED. In addition to the issues mentioned above, the red flags should have been that the company does not list a physical address and it takes payments on Venmo. I do not recommend you hire this company.

After leaving a lukewarm review the owner contacted me through yelp messaging and tried to argue…read morewith the points I made in my review about not quoting the full job, having to come back with an additional charge, and not following directions when planting shrubs. After arguing for a bit he apologized for coming at me so aggressively, and then offered to replace two of the shrubs that had died (apparently they had the shrubs on warranty and didn't let me know to reach out if they died). That was a month ago, and he no-called no-showed on the shrub replacement. Owner is lacking in professionalism and follow through. Does a decent job, but I wouldn't hire again based on the communication issues, billing issues, and aggressive response to reviews.
