When they showed up they only mowed about 1/4 of my lawn and didn't even pick up a trimmer but took pictures making it seem like the whole thing was mowed. The part they did mow got terribly scalped. After I got back I texted them and never got an answer till I wrote a review. Instead of an apology and explanation they proceeded to argue with me and said I don't know anything about mowing. DO NOT use this company they are a fraud.

I worked for Smitty's up until I had a family emergency. A close family member had a serious…read moremedical emergency. After I left to be there to comfort my family I tried daily to get my check. I was told they would notify me when ready, they were rude to my girlfriend then they shut off communications all together. A week later after payday still no word or check. It shows what kind of people are in charge, anybody can act friendly to a customer but it's the actions shown to staff that shows their real colors.

We got such great information about what to plant and when, what would and wouldn't survive the winter, and much much more. Being from the south, we were clueless about Iowa winters. Now we know what to expect. Smitty's also manages the lawn service in our neighborhood and they told us that they will also do our snow removal this winter. Thanks for all the help!
