I had a simple question that someone at the branch could have answered. Instead I got the recorded voice runaround. Now I will have to drive there to get a person to answer my question. They offered no help because I didn't bank there. The customer service call center told me that these decisions were up to the branch manager. The teller wouldn't allow me to speak to the branch manager at all. I had ID and my mother has banked her her whole life. She's 94 years old. None of that mattered. I had to find a check cashing agency that charged me 10% of the check amount. I wouldn't recommend this bank anymore. No empathy for a traveler in need.

The one thing that absolutely enrages me, is that there is always some loophole as to why these banks can charge you $33-$99 in overdraft fees EVEN THOUGH the reason the account was overdrawn was due to the current balance displaying the incorrect/ not updated amount. Transactions on their debit card will pend for days. Any kind of membership, subscription, or payment plan will come off the card even if you don't have the funds. I've been put almost -$200 by this bank when bills came out, I had the money but they didn't approve the transactions within 48 hours and I spent my current balance on food to then be notified that money was supposed to go to pending transactions. My other debit card does not do this. It updates on the same day and my current balance always takes into account the pending transactions. First National DOES NOT.

I had been a customer with SAC ( now Cobalt) since 2008. I got into some financial issues, BUT…read morestill had a job and still direct deposited my paycheck (2000-3000 per month). I'm a teacher, so the more I substitute for other teachers, the more I get paid. The account went negative for 2 months ( I had removed my direct deposit to try to remedy my financial situation). I had turned the direct deposit back on. Not only did they continue to charge me after it became negative the first time, but they collected those fees. I am involved in a class action lawsuit to stop banks from them being able to continually charge if my bank goes negative. I don't mind the fee a couple of times, but then they should probably stop allowing things to be charged multiple times. I could not find the information to turn the bank account "off" from charging. I don't even particularly blame them for charging me a couple of negatives, but the account should shut off after 3 or 4. I feel this is a predatory fee-gaining scheme, and that there are at least 3 class action lawsuits to which banks are being sued because of these predatory practices. If I could refuse to give any stars, I would. DO NOT BANK HERE IF YOU DON'T MAKE LOTS OF MONEY!!!!

Maybe I could go with the time I made arrangements regarding payment on a loan I had with them when I was between jobs, and then they just took $300 some dollars from my account without contacting me, causing me all sorts of problems as payments I had made were declined, etc. When I called them about it, they lied up one side, and down the other, which should come as no surprise, as the original CSR supposedly never documented the arrangement I made with him in the first place. Or the time my debit card became compromised, and they made me track down the companies that the charges occurred at, etc. In short, screw these guys.

Every time I do, there is a short line that moves quickly. The customer service is always great, they are always able to fulfill every request! I often call in advance, to make sure I can get what I need, and it is easy to get a hold of a representative over the phone as well. The inside of this location is nice and quiet, and professional. There are bathrooms, which are kept clean. Overall, I've had a great experience banking here, and have you even found the best rate for my mortgage a few years ago!
