History

Established in 2007.

The business started in 2007 with owner Rob Davis operating it as Custom Rock and Stone. New owners Chad Dammarell and Jon Ruhga took over the business in August of 2018 and renamed the company as Granite Works. Specializing in custom remodels the two are turning Granite Works into the premier one stop shop for all things stone.

Meet the Business Owner: Chad D.

Chad Dammarell has spent his entire life in the construction industry. His father is an engineer and long time superintendent and field Forman. Growing up Chad was highlighting blueprints as early as 6yrs old and began stocking materials and scrapping out jobs immediately. By 13yrs old he learned how to do T-bar ceilings and was working all summer vacations and breaks from school. At 17yrs old he graduated and entered the Carpenters Union as a metal stud framer and dry-waller. He journeyed our at 20yrs old. It was during this time that he first got his love for granite. His father was remodeling their kitchen and the granite crew would not do a specific cut. Therefore his father Vern took matters into his own hands. Upon seeing how simple it was he began to fabricate and install many granite kitchens using Chad and another man. Granite turned into a full time side job which proved to be profitable. Chad began running and installing the jobs himself and is now in his current position.
