Owner is unfriendly, unwelcoming and suspicious…read more.. When I went in to check the place out, she was not friendly...she gave me no information or a flyer when asked about her services. I was told to print information out from the website. 7 months after first looking at her gymnastics centre. I decided to let my daughter try her classes there because it was closer to where we live. On my daughters last class, I had a visitor with me. My friend is a smoker, so she went outside for a smoke half way through my daughters class. I had left my purse/baby bag in the washroom/locker room. So my friend went to the washroom/locker room to get my keys from my purse/baby bag for my car to charge her cell in my car. And then had her smoke outside. The owner stood at the front entrance watching my friend have her cigarette. When my friend told me that the owner was watching her. I told my friend of the first time I came here and just said she is unfriendly. And didn't think anything else of it. 10 minutes later, I decided we should wait in the locker room to watch my daughters class from a different view. (I have a baby so keeping him entertained at Apollo is hard because it isn't baby friendly - it's a concrete floor and nothing interesting for him to look at or check out.) So then I decide to wait in the car so he can play with the steering wheel. On our way out we see her talking to the cops and we wander what has happened. We are only in my car about 2 minutes when the cop is checking out my license plate then he comes and asks me questions saying one of you has been here before and the other hasn't. I tell him that my daughter has gymnastics here and my friend is visiting me. He then tells me that my friend was seen going through purses in the locker room. I'm like " Was it a grey purse because my purse was in the locker room." So she explained why she was in the washroom/locker room. All 3 of us (myself, my friend, and the cop) didn't say much to each other. It was obvious that the owner overreacted. I asked my friend after the cop left if there was anyone else in the locker room when she went to my bag. She said no. I am upset with this lady for making this last class at Apollo not a nice one. Before her suspicious ways, I had already decided that I was going to send my daughter to Gymtrix because I like their centre better. Staff their are friendly and welcoming. After this experience on my daughters last class, I will never put my daughter or son in Apollo Gymnastics. Beware to anyone who sends a sitter, grandparent, friend or whoever to be their with your child when you can't take your child to her/his class or if you just want to visit with your guest during your child's class. The cops may be called because you are a new face using the washroom/locker room. People usually keep their valuables on them lady or in the lockers with a lock!
