We were broken down at an Grange Hall Market Gas Station in Holly, MI. My 6yr old girl had to go to the bathroom. We had purchased lunch inside while we were waiting for a tow truck and I asked if she could use the bathroom and the lady said "no, we don't have a public bathroom". I said can we please use yours we don't have any options here. She stared at me blankly. So I had to take my 6 year old daughter behind the dumpster at the back and have her squat and pee. Passed by just now to pick up some snacks and energy drinks for a drive down to Ann Arbor. We picked up 2 24oz Monster Energy drinks and 2 of their pizza rolls. Total bill? $25!!!! Stunned! After driving off still shocked that we just paid what would typically be how much we would spend on a basic dinner, we realized we did not get a receipt! Wasted 15 minutes trying to get gas at this station. Ended up only able to buy $0.40 worth of gas. The even worse part was getting through all of the Shell Gas commercials on the screen. Added at least 5 minutes that were unnecessary just to get to the property screen to start the gas pumping and to finalize my payment. Furthermore the pump was not working, as it took at least 5 minutes to just get the 0.10 gallons of gas (yes only $ 0.40 worth of gas). I will not visit another Shell station with these annoying Screens. I stopped to get gas, not to listen to 5 minutes of various commercials. A customer was lost for good. read more
