So much fun! Went for the Christmas Special with another couple and had a wonderful time. I learned a lot about the beautiful Clydesdales. We also got to see them up close - pet them. Many of the Budweiser Clydesdales, over the years, have come from this farm.
They have a VIP and a regular tour. We went for the regular tour. The main differences are: VIPs get preferred seating for the presentations and in the barn (I honestly didn't mind sitting further back). The VIPs also get to feed the horses a holiday snack at the end of the evening and have Christmas snacks and VIP access to the gift shop after the end of the evening. It's quite a bit more. I was fine not going VIP, but I can see why some people would do it.
The property and barns are beautiful. The family does an amazing job decorating for the holidays. The entire operation is a family run business. Even their 11 year old son was active answering questions, handing out tickets. They are in the barn at 4:30 am to start taking care of the horses and are out there until late morning. They breed and show the horses, as well as other things.
In addition to the Christmas tours, they offer regular day-time tours 3 days a week. They say those are more indepth and you get to see a wide range of the horses. If you go in the spring to summer time frame, you often get to see the new babies.
We really enjoyed this tour - I was surprised about how much I liked it. We'll definitely go back for the day time tour this spring. It would be a great event to take visiting guests to also.
Wonderful family! Great time! Highly Recommend! read more
