Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes as there is a dirt road for a portion of the loop. Also, if you have polarized sunglasses, that is beneficial to see the manatee. When the sun reflects off of the water, it can make it more difficult to see certain areas where the manatees are, so bring polarized glasses. There is also a Groupon for snorkeling with the manatees that we hope to go back and do in the upcoming year. Nice little day trip.

The space is not too big, but offers a few distinct sections to learn about the manatees and other animals in the area. There is even a small gift shop onsite and they accept donations since this is a free place. There was a mask policy and they provide masks. The best part of our visit was the park ranger that came running in, asking us if we wanted to go down to the water because there was a manatee asleep right off the dock and shallow so we could see. It was a site to marvel. Even though we had been swimming with them the day before, this was almost just as cool.
