For US prices, this place was a steal! $20 for a full body, strong (or whatever pressure) Swedish massage for 90 min?! What?! We were also allowed to see the room in which you will stay at which is basically one big dark room that every customer shares and is divided with dark curtains. The massage bed is a soft velvet arm chair that converts to a bed with an opening to place your face in like any regular massage place. Overall, it was a great experience. The process is that they will choose a person for you and the patron will wash your feet upon entering the dark room. Please don't take off your bottom underwear!!! Lay on the bed as they massage your back and front. Calming music plays but yes you can hear people chatting from afar. The workers do not talk unless they need to ask you or their co-workers for anything. They speak Bisaya, Tagalog and English. At the end of your session, don't forget to ask the person who massaged you for their name in case you forget who to tip after paying. Good service means giving some extra money. Cash only. Haha This Thai massage is priced very well, like Thai Boran. It is kinda hidden behind The Academy for International Culinary Arts and the Burger Joint, though, so I'd have never noticed it except for the fact that the Thai Boran down the road was closed (for the month?!). It smells great when you walk in, they offer the best Thai stretching massage I had while in Cebu, and they give you tea at the end. All of this for like 200php. While the drive to the resort is fairly simple and the surrounding landscape is plain, everything changes the moment you arrive. Once inside the property is exquisite. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and offered a refreshing Cebu iced tea welcome drink. Check-in was quick and pleasant, and I was pleasantly surprised that my room was upgraded to a Deluxe Garden Room. The Deluxe Garden Room features a garden view, a large king size bed and a spacious open plan bathroom with a sunk-in tub and rain shower. The mini bar is complimentary on the first night and includes Cebu mango treats, orange and mango drinks and classic Filipino beer. There is also a mini coffee machine where one can make cappuccinos and mochas. A stay at the Crimson includes a complimentary breakfast buffet at their Saffron restaurant. I was amazed at the selection the buffet. Not only did they have an abundance of Filipino and Western dishes but there was also a congee and sushi bar. They pastry bar selection ranged from classic Filipino ensaymadas to native Cebu sticky rice. I also was impressed that they had fresh smoothies and juices along with a full coffee bar offering different specialty coffees. This hands down was the best breakfast buffet I experienced during my trip. Equally as impressive is the resort's pool area. Located right next to the beach, it offers breathtaking sunrise views and a serene atmosphere that is perfect for relaxing. One thing worth noting is that the resort rooms are quite far from the main lobby and restaurants, so guests will need to take the resort golf cart service. While walking is an option, it can be a bit of a trek. Thankfully, the golf carts are available 24 hours a day. Overall, I really enjoyed my start at Crimson Resort and Spa. The resort is beautiful, serene and peaceful. It is an ideal escape and perfect spot for a holiday vacation.

The *Swedish Massage* was divine, providing the ultimate relaxation while still loosening up every knot in my constantly tight back. My second round, I went for a pedicure and foot massage and all but fell asleep! The pedicure, with just top coat and paint, lasted quite a long time too; 2 weeks at least before one chipped. And that's with regular running throughout the week. The masseuses were all super sweet too! They were very excited to know we were Filipino among a sea of white Europeans. I think most Filipinos respect you though if you know to address them respectfully with a "Hello, po!", or a "Thank you, po!". The masseuses were personable enough though to make me want to call them "ate" (where appropriate). The fact that I was able to find calm and relaxation at this massage place is saying something because it is located on a very busy corner so sound from the trikes and motorbikes do travel through the walls. You may also not have the ultimate privacy since "rooms" are separated by curtains. Pretty sure someone peaked in on accident and saw me buck nekkid, haha. Honestly, I could care less since the massage provided the ultimate comfort!
