I took a Milestone Chrysler 300 to Granat's for a total repaint of the entire car, removing all bright trim, lights, mirrors, etc. and paid $5K for repainting the car with base coat/clear coat. Actually, I informed Mr. Granat that the car had no rust, except two small spots in the hood,but he insisted that the whole car had to be stripped. I repeatedly asked him to prime the car-especially the hood- with epoxy primer to kill the surface rust.
Now, approximately 6 or 7 years later, the hood gave the appearance of termites tunneling underneath the paint, so I had another painter strip off the paint and make SURE the rust was killed and the car was primed in Epoxy. The new painter found LOTS of bondo where it was not needed,and lots of rust where there had never been rust before. The hood had been shoddy work from start to finish.
My daughter had her Charger R/T front cap repainted there, and a year later the paint started flaking off. She always hand washed the car, but Granat refused to stand behind his work.
