There is an English menu available online but not in the restaurant. Here's where I get confused. The service is excellent, full white tablecloth treatment, old-school European style. No detail is missed. Then we get to the food. It's really pretty good, all told. Here's where the attention to details goes sideways. The bread rolls felt as if they had been sitting since yesterday. The beans, although delicious, had sat around on the plate long enough to be room temperature and develop a crust. The totopos stuck in the beans were in the beans long enough to get soggy. The rice served alongside the moles was barely above room temperature and a bit dried out. All the food, in general, needed to arrive from the kitchen much warmer. Essentially, anything that could be made ahead of time was, and then left sitting out. It doesn't fit and I don't get it.

After having read several nice Old reviews, we decided to spend 2 nights at this small place…read more Unfortunately the experience was bad because we had no hot water at all in the bathroom for shower and wash hands. This is June and it was cold in this mountain town. There was no one onsite after dark, and hotel was completely empty. Included breakfast was very basic foods and the whole place was just deserted like a scary ghost town. We regret staying at this small place but the manger Veronica promised us that we will be refunded for one night. After many email inquiries about when the refund will be, the manger never responded with a definitive answer after 6 months untill recently they just not responded at all. Don't expect any help to carry your luggage up through the steep concrete steps. Once you check in and make payment, you are on your own. There are so many much better choices. Don't be fooled by those old good reviews. The prime time of this hotel is long gone as the management don't care about the paid customers, and having customers return at all. Just the one time deal for them.
