I'm thrilled any time I find Sweetwater 420 on tap, so this place has that going for it. Quasi-hipster atmosphere, complete with a photo booth and mirror graffiti in the bathroom. Expect low lighting indoors and a bartender who can pour a beer but might not be the ultimate master of classic cocktails. I really like the concept of this bar and the drinks are yummy and affordable.

I ended up at Gramps after another local establishment was packed, and I wanted to have a good space to talk to old friends. I had seen Gramps when I parked my car, so I suggested that we go in. I will begin by saying that Gramps is definitely hipster Wynwood. The patio is stark with picnic furniture and small boxes on which to sit. The clientele adopts a laid-back demeanor and lets live let live. Great! I should also note that their happy hour went until 9pm, which meant that my purchase of multiple drinks did not set me back too much. This is much appreciated in a city like Miami. All of this said, service was rough. On the night I went, there was only one bartender, and it took so long to get beers that I started ordering them in twos. That may have been Gramp's plan (if so, it worked), but it was more of a nuisance than anything. Nevertheless, I never like to rate a place low for just service, and I think that had a minor fix been made, my experience would have been better. I will definitely give Gramps another try, but I will need to see better service. read more

This place is great for events! During the election, they were the prime place in Wynwood to watch election debates, have watch parties and meet with your fellow candidate supporters. The food was also surprisingly good at the bar! read more

I'd say this place teeters on the edge between 3-4 stars depending on what time you are there. I'm not a big fan of packed places and this place can definitely get really crowded...but thats not always the case. The times that I have been there when its not ridiculously packed its been a great time. The cocktails are always delicious and they have a pretty decent selection of craft beer. Basically a dive bar. Don't get me wrong it's a pretty good dive bar. But just that, I mean if you want a chill night out just to get a few drinks, may we dance or hang out a bit, it's one of the better places in Wynwood. They have a pretty eclectic selection of music. I liked the music that was playing in the background, a nice change from the in your ear "What?? I can't hear you" type places around the area. We had a penicillin which was really good and had a nice kick to it. The bartenders were very professional which I loved. It is not a bartender from Chili's or Friday's. They are great and remind me of the type of people that would train other bartenders on Bar Rescue. I also had a margarita which was delicious. Although their drinks are a bit pricey, $11 they are $2 off during happy hour which makes some of the beers $2 which is great if you like beer. If I am in the area and Ms. Cheezious is there (huge plus) I will def. swing by again although I really didn't care for the black and white horror films going on. read more

OK, so my brother-in-law is a bartender here. My wife and I finally decided to check it out. The place is A-OK in my book. The drinks are local creations by the bartenders that work there. No sugary mixers either. They are mixologists in every sense of the word, and I'm not just blowin' smoke because my brother-in-law works there. The indoor area is nice, but loud. I prefer the patio with live music and lots of space. Parking is a pain in general in Wynwood, but you learn to deal with it. read more

I had a great time with my friends. I'm not consumed with the latest cocktails but I thoroughly enjoyed my ice cold canned beer(pretty sure they don't served bottles). As with most places in wynwood they have a small bar and larger patio. As hipster as it gets. That whole ironic dichotomy between insanely overpriced schmancy cocktails and cheap 16oz pbr cans. A popcorn maker. Artsy porn (I think it had a plot) being projected onto the back of the stage in the rocky spill-out "beer garden" (that's what us cool people call "outside"). It is fun to go here and hold up the wall, poke pregnant chicks in their stomach, catch girls as they go flying through the air, and people watch the cyclists who swear they are saving the world one pedal at a time. This is a great bar. Way less trashy than the wood. Way more hip than pretty much anything in town. Way less dangerous than Churchill's. They have great house cocktails, awesome outdoor areas, sports and DJs and dance floors. Gramps used to be one of my favorite bars since it opened. It brought something different and authentic to Miami! Very friendly, cool, hip with good drinks and not pretentious. But honestly idk what has happened lately but the they've gone down. They close a lot earlier than they used to maybe because of their liquor license but the they should fight to extend it. Anyways, the security and the staff have gotten pretty rude! They kick people out without letting them finish their drinks. Their atmosphere is just not the same anymore and they've changed the setting for the worse. read more

Love this bar. I recently visited Miami from LA and came here 4 times. The vibe is cool, definitely not a stereotypical Miami spot. The indoor space is great and the outdoor space is fantastic, complete with bocce ball, a stage and plenty of seating. The cocktails are amazing - I had the Gramps Old Fashioned, made with rum instead of whisky (If I remember correctly). They even have a popcorn machine inside, a nice touch. read more

Definitely a must go-to for a never- to-disappoint evening. The beer selection is pretty good at fair prices, especially for Miami. I love the photo booth near the bar, which is rare to see around here. Friday nights are especially great for a fun dance floor with really feel good jams and everybody letting their hair down and having a fun time. I went for my birthday which was on October 12! I loved it! My server was Mariana! One of the best ones! I really enjoyed how she attended very well! I've been there a several of times but when she took my order and helped me it was unbelievable her work! Has a great personality, tries her very best to do the best she can! The cocktails where amazing! Her attitude was amazing once again! I will be looking forward to go again and wish she can serve me! One of the best workers there.. the only thing I was concern about was a guy that was cooking there which was in the day time.. was being very rude to her and saying not kind things and in my opinion she didn't deserve nothing from that! She was doing an excellent job and for a cooker to come and start saying all those unnecessary stuff is very unprerfecional, In my opinion .. he was also VERY BUT VERY RUDE! Other than that I have no other complains! MARIANA WAS THE BEST SERVER! And couldn't be any more happier with her services! read more

Gramps is one of the only causal bars in Miami reasonably priced for drinks and bar food. As an Orlando native I came to Miami with plenty of spending money in my pocket, however, I ended up at Gramps almost every night. As a poor college student, the prices were relieving but it was the venue and service that brought me back for more. The outside area is surrounded with endless vinyl that is actually FOR SALE. If you're a music junkie like me you won't want to miss hitting this spot surrounded by hipsters, rockers, deadheads, and more! There's even food stands next to the vinyl selection so you can browse, munch, and drink as your reminiscing on your favorite jams. The venues awesome but the service made this bar worthwhile. My friend thought she lost her phone (I was tracking it and it said it was in Gramps) and I thought someone had stolen it. The GM followed the tracking location and found it for us. He even grabbed a couple of the bartenders and gave them flashlights to find her phone. This place and the GM saved our trip to Miami. I salute the drinks, food, vinyl, and service at Gramps for saving our getaway vacay. read more

This place is allright. I ended up coming here after enjoying some delicious tacos from the WOOD tavern. The location is cool and so is the vibe, I came here on a friday night and the music was ehhh, it's ironic that they use the legendary band THE CRAMPS font for their logo but the music is nothing even remotely as good as psychobilly or rock, all I heard was whinny hipster bands that made me want to leave early. Beer selction is pretty good, prices are kinda high though. read more
