Some of the options he presented were better than others, but at least he was honest and up front about the pros and cons to each option. Unfortunately Attorney Fairweather passed away a few months later. I requested to meet with a new attorney at Hawks Quindel. The firm made me pay an additional consultation fee to meet with the second attorney, which I thought was odd. After less than an hour in the office, the second attorney told me that I didn't have a case. Not only was I out one, but two consultation fees, and left exactly where I started. Today, I read an article where an attorney at Hawks Quindel is representing a volunteer who is suing a non-profit organization (a volunteer rescue squad) because he felt that he should be paid for his volunteer service. While I wholeheartedly agree that Paramedics deserve good pay, that volunteer KNEW what he was signing up for when he applied to be a volunteer. After looking into said volunteer, I see that he has felony convictions for Medicare fraud, in which he was ordered to pay over a MILLION dollars in unearned fraudulent claims. So he turns to suing a volunteer run ambulance service to pay back his debts? I don't think so. Hawks Quindel should be ashamed of themselves for representing a professional con artist. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend this firm.

Initially, I was going to do the proceedings myself. So I drafted documents and she would review and give me feedback. She was extremely open and honest about every step of the process, advised me clearly on what I should be flexible on and what to stand firm on, then stepped in an took over when things go rough. After my daughter was born, the agreement with her mother quickly soured and after paternity was proven I was only able to see my kid for about 6 hours a week. It was an difficult process and the stress became too much to manage. I decided to retain Jody and from that point It Was Handled. She did all the negotiations and by my child's 1st birthday, I had joint custody and equal placement. Being a father is one of the joys of my life and I firmly believe that Jody Usow was essentially in getting a court order that supports my rights as a father. Thank you Jody! However, once I was informed of the actual cause of this failure, I reached for my telephone and called attorney Vince Bobot. Presented with a bill for over $6,000 and not my fault, Vince made one call to the National Auto Service Chain Milwaukee office who last worked on my car. Within two days I was informed they would pay for everything, the repairs, tow and rental car. The Regional Manager promptly responded and Vince called me twice to make sure everything was being taken care of. It was a dream come true as I could never have handled this myself or received the "lightening fast" response. Forget the hype of other law offices, Vince Bobot brings decades of successful law experience, including being a former Milwaukee Municipal Judge. Dedicated to fighting for you, he is truly one of the best!

I had an awful experience with this law office when I filed a chapter 128 in 2017. Communication…read morethroughout was poor and the attorney who handled it, Shane Cigel, appeared quite inconvenienced with being assigned my case (which I assume was due to the measly $1100 fee they charged me to file which - in my opinion - was grossly overpriced.) I made multiple attempts (actually around 10 with documentation to prove it!) via email requesting updates during the proceedings which all went unanswered by good ol' boy Shane. I even appealed directly to THE man himself - yes, I am talking about Greg Dantzman of Dantzman and Dantzman - who also chose not to address my concerns. I actually did complete the 36 months of payments however upon dismissal of the debts, things became even worse. I was never mailed the order of dismissal or any court records that could substantiate the debt was paid off. Instead, I continued to receive debt collection notices after the the fact which I did report to my main man Shane "I could give two f***s" Cigel who again, never responded to me. So, why am I writing a review on these shmucks over 2 years after the chapter 128 was completed? Good question! Because I just received a debt collection notice via email today from one of the companies I paid off in 2020! I seriously question the integrity of this law firm and if they even followed up with any of the companies with the order of dismissal. Per the folks I just spoke to trying to collect the debt - they actually have no record of any dismissal orders being sent to them! Moral of the story: I would urge you to look elsewhere for legal services and would not waste a penny on these fools. Now I get to spend my day off tomorrow going to the Milwaukee County Courthouse & attempt to obtain court documents and begin cleaning up the mess these shysters made! Thanks Dantzman & Dantzman!

***Update Oct 20,2025***…read more After finding them overbilling me, they've now requested and been granted release from representing me. Don't believe all of the fake reviews they've been piling on since I've left this review. This law firm are snakes and will rip you off if you have to do Chapter 13. ********** I've been overbilled thousands of dollars by Steve Berg. Steve would call me to ask me questions and would take a question that took 5 minutes to answer and turn it into a 45 - 60 minute call. Then he would call me again days later because he "misplaced" my answer. So, another 45-60 minute call. Then he would call a week or two later asking the same question. Each and every time I was billed for full hours for Steve Berg. I had suspected something was going on so I demanded all communication happen via email. Steve Berg got upset and stopped communicating completely, even important case issues. He emailed a couple of times but eventually went back yo his old tactics of multiple phone calls regarding the same issues over and over again. I've been billed for tax return review and submit to the trustee but then months later I get a notice that my return was never sent to the trustee and my case was set for dismissal as a result. When they did finally send them, they billed me again. This has happened twice.
