The office is staffed with inexperienced help with no business acumen. In trying to rent a vacation property, the inexperienced office manager played email tag back and forth for almost two weeks before a property was finally found that would fit my week and expectations (timing is critical as properties fill up fast). I had to do all the searching. Her role was nothing more than a brick wall that bounced back an answer here and there. Never once did this "agent" ask me what I wanted so she could search her database. I finally found what I was looking for and sent the office manager an email on a Wednesday indicating the property and that I would be in the office on Friday to pay and sign. I drove up 4 hours to look at the property from the outside, then went to the office as stated in the email. I was met by another inexperienced, although well-meaning, employee who told me the property wasn't available for that week and that she could put me in another property. Bait and switch? Why no contact from the inexperienced office manager explaining this little detail before I spent the time and money driving up there with an overnight stay? When I asked her via phone on my drive back, her answer was that they would have taken payment by phone. Can you imagine that? No business acumen whatsoever! Allowing the customer to spend time and money for naught. The property, 6 days later, is still on the website as available for that week. And still no email response from the inexperienced office manager. I went with VRBO and got an immediate response and booked within one hour of my initial contact. read more
