About a year ago, the park lost one of its oldest and largest trees -- a big Sycamore. The stump stood as a big reminder of its loss. The City is planning to grind out the stump. Meredith Tree Service and Brad Sells & Bark Studio worked together to preserve a large part of that stump, so the West End community can make art out of the wood. The Food Forest Friends think that old tree shows a lot of the West End Community's history in its rings. Working with Meredith Tree Service was so easy and he was so gracious. He cut the stump off and delivered it to Brad as a donation to the West End community and our club. I'm really grateful. [EDIT: I'm not sure why it says this is coming from CA... I'm in Cookeville.]
