Not everything is behind glass, like many museums. You can see up close the many artifacts on display. The building is 4 floors and it gets warmer the higher you go. The history museum resides on the rear of the property and is flanked by old artillery. Inside the museum is the history of the German military and U.S. relations. Maps, uniforms, and photographs are just a few things you will see inside. Very interesting!

Der Zutritt zum Hof ist kostenfrei, man bekommt einige sehr schöne historische Gebäude zur Ansicht, eine Gruppe von spätgotischen Fachwerkbauten mit Laubengängen. Die Gebäude beherbergen u.a. das Historische Museum Bamberg. Wegen des Doms ist man ja sowieso vor Ort, also lohnt sich auch ein Besuch hier.
