But if I were you I'd pay more to go somewhere else. They are very unprofessional here. My child's teacher is dating the father of another kid in the class. I see him in the classroom not picking up his kids, just flirting with her and making plans together. My kid asked why the teacher wouldn't come to our house at night "because she goes to that other kids house all the time!" I also had to explain what METH is because he told me the teacher has a kid (he is also in the class) but not a husband because the dad "loved meth more than he loved her". So yeah. Oh, and the building is pretty worn down and my son hates the food (and he's never complained about his school or daycare lunches before).

I cannot say enough great things about Lakewood Montessori! My 5 year old daughter has attended…read morethe school for 2 years and we plan on enrolling our 3 year son in there as well. The environment the kids are in is a warm, caring one where the teachers know the children (and the parents and grandparents) well and build the children's confidence. They are so loving and have a diverse group of kids. My daughter loves ALL of the teachers and staff! They truly care so much for the kids. The education (very important to us) is outstanding..I am so amazed how well they teach the kids..they do a great job of preparing the students for the transition to elementary school..I feel like my 5 year old is ready for 2nd grade! The director is a beautiful person, inside and out..Lakewood Montessori is ran incredibly well; this is not true for every Montessori school.

Let me start by saying given the scandal at St. Patrick's North, I was completely against putting…read moremy child in a religious preschool. Then I met the staff at Metro Church Preschool and that went out the window. Metro is a smaller congregation on the corner of Brighton and 48th St. The Preschool and Daycare are a primarily family operation. My 5 year old daughter is not just ready for Kindergarten, she is above the curve and reading and managing at a second grade level and I attribute it to Miss Robin, the preschool teacher. Everytime I picked my daughter up these past few months I heard "We're going to miss her." Now a lot of places say this and they are being trite. Not the staff at Metro. They are deeply involved and take very great care and responsibility with each child in that building and they genuinely love every child. Now I have not used or gotten feedback on the infant care program, but if it is anything like the preschool, it has to be outstanding. If you work at Harrah's, North KC Hospital, Cerner, or anything in that area, Metro is just a 10 minute drive up the road and well worth it for your child's development. It is by far the best child development pregram I have encountered and I thank them whole heartedly for giving my little girl a running start on school.

The staff are super friendly and they update us with all the improvements our children are achieving. Our eldest is allergic to tons of food since he was diagnosed with G6PDD and he's also lactose intolerant. Beyond happy that Metro Church Academy was able to accommodate his special diet. They also teach well, seeing the improvement of our eldest child's knowledge with shapes, numbers, animals, letters and etc. They also send us a log sheet for my youngest that contains information like what and how much he ate, time and duration of his naps, potty changes, etc., everyday. Every morning, our kids wakes up excited to go to daycare and gets sad when we pick them up in the afternoon. The other kids are also friendly, they greet us and our kids as soon as we get there with 'good mornings' and they say "goodbye friend/s" to each other by the time we leave. My husband's employer is helping out with our childcare payments and Chris, who manages the academy was so helpful in communicating with the people in charge (in my husband's employers' side). They also gave us 15% discount since we have two children enrolled at the same time... Would recommend this daycare to other mommies/daddies. Additional info, we migrated here in the US last Dec. 2015 and our kids speaks a little english. They adjusted really well in daycare and our 3 year old learned to talk much faster than before..
