We were deeply involved with our church in the Midwest, multiple ministries, growth groups and outreaches. We had grown very close with our church family. Leaving that church community was hard. We were determined to find a church community in town that we would feel comfortable in, could get involved, grow spiritually, learn the word and hopefully meet new friends that we could eventually call our church family here in California. Now there are many churches in Escondido and the surrounding areas and we tried a lot of them. Some were good, some weren't, some were big and some were small but we just couldn't find the one that fit just right. Several of our friends were attending the Orchard and had invited us to join them and give this church a try. Meh..... what's one more to tick off in what felt like our endless list? One service and we were home. No joke. Assad teaches the Bible, his sermons are to the point and relatable. I love that they have a handout each week with updates and fill in the blanks for following along with sermon notes. They really make it easy for you to go home and continue your study throughout the week. The people are so friendly too! Assad and his wife Summer are so welcoming, all of the volunteers are outgoing without being pushy. Jan has a gift for remembering your name even after meeting you just once so you will automatically feel like part of the family on your second visit. The church has multiple growth groups/Life groups so if you'd like to be connected that way there are plenty of options. There are children's classes and a youth group. Multiple ministries and outreaches you can be involved in. Don't worry though, you can take your time and get comfortable, no one will harass you! If you are looking for a community of people who love the Lord, believe in the Bible and preach from it, who think you are valuable, generally care for you and not see you as just a seat filler then this place just might be the perfect fit for you.

I was looking for a church that wasn't too overwhelming in size, and had a level of intimacy and community which I felt I wasn't feeling completely at the other churches. But I came, because of an invitation from a friend at work, and I hadn't even gotten to say hello to my friend before the members of the staff made a genuine effort to say hello. It wasn't in an obligatory, "check off the list" kinda way that I can feel sometimes, it was genuine compassion in me and being interested in getting to know me, and very excited that I had come that morning. I know some people prefer to just go to church, watch the service, and then leave; they may not prefer much conversation or contact with others, and that is completely fine. Everyone has their own way of worshipping. But I thrive on that. Everyone there is very kind and compassionate, and you can feel the liveliness and closeness when in attendance. Proud to call this my new home church. I haven't tried out the Escondido campus, but from what I gather it's just as great!

They have wonderful Sunday School classes and classes during the week. Daycare for all age groups during all their Sunday services, including Spanish speaking services. Pastor Ryan is great speaker and is always well prepared for what he is preaching on. The choir and orchestra just want to make you stand, arms open and Praise our Lord.

Good evening, I've been going to the thrift store at the church for a while now & I have really…read morecontemplated on wether or not this was the right choice to come on here and vocalize an incident that I was honestly appalled at seeing here. I typically go here and shop for little things here and there on Mondays when I have my day off, & this Monday when I went in the woman who normally is there wasn't but yet an older woman named Janice I believe her name was. I witnessed this woman make remarks towards some of the other girls who work there. I overheard her tell the girls that they need to learn to speak English to which one of them replied that she knows English. Then Janice had replied to her " Well not good enough to where I could understand you, and if you're going to work here you're going to have to learn English and if not bye because she refuses to learn Spanish." A little time went by and I just so happened to still be in the store & one of the other workers daughter came in to translate for her mom & I watched Janice mock these two women as the workers daughter was translating for her. Lastly, I also heard Janice say that her, & someone else named sherry weren't welcomed at masses or the thrift store anymore. Buenas Tardes, esta lunes cuando yo fui a la thrift store por eso es mi normal por que es mi ultima dia descansa. La senora quien trabajas en la tienda que se llaman Janice te dijo las otra senoras quien trabajar con ella que ellas necissitan aprender ingles, y una de las senoras responden si hablas ingles y Janice respondo pues, no estas bien por que todavia no puedo entender y ya no voy a aprender espanol. Despues la hija de una de senoras quien trabajan ahi entraste la tienda para hablar por la senora que no hablas ingles, y Janice estas atras de Ella's y haciendo caras fea y mas. Y la final cosa ella te dijo las senoras es que ellas y un otro senora sherry no puede hir a la mesas no mas.
