May special for dinner sounds good! Available after 4:00, a soft-shell crab bucatini. We were there for lunch so opted for the Hot Honey Chicken biscuit and hash rounds. We got there just in time, there were already lots of people in the dining room eating and after we placed our order at the counter and got seated, a bunch more people came in. Our food came out quickly and correctly. The chicken biscuit had a good size piece of chicken and just enough sweet and heat. The biscuit was good; I cut off the top because I am a wierdo who doesn't like butter on top. Always on point, great space, food is really good!
This atmosphere is somewhat southern charm mixed with chic. Touches of southern accents sit in the windows and on the walls. It's very homey and fresh! However, The main star of the show. The Chicken. I got the chicken sandwich and I'm telling you I cannot wait to go try just the fried chicken next. Crispy. Seasoned. Bursting with flavor! I got original and not spicy cause I'm a wimp but the sauces you can get on the sandwich. The comeback sauce for the fr and the hot and honey for the chicken. You can't change my mind. The fries were crispy and salty and seasoned to literal perfection. We also tried their bologna sandwich which is featured on the Netflix show 'Fresh, Fried, and Crispy' so we had to get it. My boyfriend loved it so much he mentions it all the time. Fried pickles were fantastic and I cant wait to try the rest of their menu!
Food: amazing! This was some flavorful, soul food right here! Greens were fire!! Mac & cheese..fire!!! I had the smoked wings which were delicious, except that I would get them with the relish, and drizzle on the side.Shrimp were good size, and tender!! The fish was cornmeal (which I'm ok with), and it was fried to perfection! My only problem with the food was my a la carte fried chicken wings. He needed some help. It was cold, and rubbery. Needed to be fried a minute or two longer IMO. Not a big fan of tipping before I even get my food, so I have to remember that when you have to order, pay, and optional tip before you even sit down. I like the overall appearance of the place. Very clean, and everyone was very nice. Definitely going back! Sorry about the half eaten food in the pics. Lol!!!
Atmosphere was vibrant and music sublime. The oldies and soul that gets you really enjoying your company and the food? This place had it. I got the fish and spaghetti, hubby got the grilled fish and "Grandma's cornbread," and mom in law got wings, mac and cheese and greens. Latter not pictured here but they enjoyed overall. Mentioned greens had too many stems in them and chicken could have been seasoned more. My entree was perfectly seasoned! If in the area stop by for efficient and friendly service!
Grace Meat + Three was probably one of the best spots I've ever had! It's super close to SLU, and I got the Grace Burger, which was really tasty, but I think I preferred the fried chicken sandwich. It was so crispy, probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had in a while! We had sides of cornbread and mac and cheese, and the mac and cheese was divine: perfect flavor, pasta, and breadcrumbs. The interior is super family-friendly, lots of kids and families when I went, and the staff was so sweet. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it's absolutely worth it!
The foodie in me did a considerable amount of research prior to my trip to the St. Louis area. Grace Meat + Three was high on my list of places to visit. My daughter and I arrived, stood at the counter, and waited to be seated, but this is an "order at the counter and take your number to the table" type of establishment, which seems to be a popular business model in the area. We stepped out of line to decide on what to order. I settled on the Catfish Meal Deal (hot) and a side of Fried Brussels Sprouts. There was a sauce station with an array of options. I'm a saucy lady, so I helped myself to the Dilly Tartar Sauce, Tasty Ranch and Comeback Sauce. There was also Sweet Whiskey BBQ and Alabama White Sauce. The sauce bottles were labeled with dates that gave us a bit of pause, but the bottles were cold, so we proceeded. The dining area had Southern-charm, and the other guests all appeared to be enjoying themselves. The staff were all very kind and helpful and we enjoyed our meals so much that we both placed to-go orders to enjoy at our hotel room later that evening. My daughter ordered wings to-go and I ordered the Grace Burger. Unfortunately, while eating my burger later that night with a knife and fork, I found a long strand of hair embedded in the burger patty, which caused me to discard it after those few unfortunate bites. Were it not for this, I would've given them 5 stars.
Reunited and it feels so good! I met up with some friends for an early brunch on Sunday and was craving some southern food. I've only been to Grace once and that was four years ago. As a matter of fact, the last time I was there, they had a somewhat limited menu. This time, I went with the shrimp meal which comes with 1 side ( I chose cornbread) and got an addtl side of Brussel sprouts. For a party of four, our food came relatively quick. The first bite of shrimp was interesting as I tasted majority batter and very little shrimp. While flavorful, it was a tad underwhelming. While the shrimp may have been a letdown, the cornbread and Brussel sprouts were anything but. The cornbread was moist and resembled a slick of cake due to its thickness and consistency. The sprouts had the perfect combination of char, balsamic, Parmesan, and spices. Overall, I was more than pleased with the service and food. I can't wait to come back.
Would have rated a 5 if it weren't for the service. The girl was very rude and was LITERALLY texting in between taking our order. There were five of us, after each one she would stop and text. While we were sitting down, two guys came in that hadn't been there before. She didn't look up or greet them, they just stood there and she was texting. We were one of the only people in there. Food was great as always!! I wish they had a "mild" spice. It goes from no spice, to hot, to extra hot. I like spicy and the hot was so spicy I could barely eat it. Quiet inside and plenty of seating for everyone.
I absolutely love grace meat! We've been going for years now and I have probably tried it all. The kitchen sink salad is unreal. The deviled egg in the salad, the onions, the cornbread crumbs takes it up a notch. I love the fries and chicken sandos as well. Super fresh and juicy chicken. The service is always wonderful. We love sitting at the bar for the experience. 10/10 place!
Casual dining in a restaurant setting. You order at the front and the deliver your food. Good service. I felt the food was ok. The Hominy Lager was tasty. The cornbread tasted a little too dense. The bologna sandwich which this place is known for was basically a thick cut of ham with egg. I think I was expecting my taste buds to have Oscar Meyer old school tastes.
Plenty of seating, nice and clean. Street parking available. The food was okay. I had catfish and fries. The fried brussel sprouts were a disappointment. Just brussel sprouts with balsamic vinaigrette, not fried or roasted. I tried to order a regular margarita, but they didn't have it just an elderberry margarita. What?! The best thing was the music playing.
What a cute little place! The food was delicious and the neighborhood was very cute. You order at the counter and they deliver to your table. You bus your own table after you eat and get you own sauces. I don't mind a little work, but I understand some may like to be waited on. read more

This feels like a Raising Cane's but better. The comeback sauce is my fav but I also like the Alabama sauce. Chicken is soooo tender with just the right amount of breading. And the fries! Ahh! Delicious. I love seasoned fries and these are perfect. The waffle was okay. I like the chicken sandwich more but it was fun to try. Just wish the waffle was a little more on the crispy side than soft. But not a big deal. Our server was soooo awesome and had great energy. Overall the place is just awesome!! read more
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff. Made me feel special. The menu is extensive! I've been before but I always get chicken and something else. The food is always amazing. I also got a hand pie and that was yummy too. The staff are always so welcoming whenever I come in and I can't wait to keep coming back. read more
It was very cold out so we came here to get some good southern comfort food, and this place was perfect! The fried bologna sandwich was delicious, and my partner enjoyed his cottage pie as well. There was a line to order but it moved VERY quickly and we didn't wait long for the food. Great service and great people! And the space is very welcoming. Worth checking out! read more

Stopped in here with the wife and kid first part of the year with zero expectations. Sometimes it pays to go in blind; the food was over the top amazing. We talked about it for a few days and when we could get back to try different menu options! The restaurant as a whole is neat and had that atmosphere of picking different sections to sit in will give you different experiences. I will say the service was a tad slack, had two guys that were great but then two of the ladies were kind of on edge and did not seem to want to be working anymore that night. Luckily, service is pretty self-serve so it did not play that large of a role in my rating! read more

First time going to Grace's- I was heading out for drinks in The Grove and thought I'd give their Shrimp Po Boy a spin since it was a Friday in Lent. I was NOT disappointed! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very laid back. You order at the counter- sandwiches and sides are separate. They have a solid drink menu with a lot of cocktails and many types of beer (including a couple solid NA options). They also have Ski soda brands. A real STL area staple. The food arrived quickly- less than 10 mins. I got the aforementioned po boy and fries. The fries were fine (seasoning made them better than they would've been otherwise as they were just standard crinkle fries) but the star of the show was the sandwich. The bread was incredible, the slaw was great and the shrimp were big and perfectly fried. The sandwich was pretty big too. I will certainly be coming back here again. Maybe sometime other than a Lenten Friday. If their shrimp was that good, I can't imagine how great their chicken is (since that's what they're known for)! read more
My catfish nuggets were super flavorful, and their house made tartar sauce is delightfully dilly. Mac and Cheese here is always perfectly cheesy. Staff is friendly - it's counter service, so not a lot of interaction. All around cute southern vibe inside, but modern, not like a Cracker Barrel! read more

Our visit started with locating a parking space. Used to be the lot across the street was free. Got a spot and proceeded to pay which took a couple of tries. No customers in the restaurant on a late Friday afternoon in May. Drink special was the Mint Julep. Ordered two of those only to be informed when seated that they were out of mint. I like hot and spicy chicken but this chicken wasn't what I'd consider hot. It was tasty. Mashed potatoes were kinda bland and overly 'milky'. Thats not even a word...Collard greens were decent; honey cornbread was meh. You have to pretty much walk through the kitchen to get to the restroom. It looked like it needed a good refresh. Between the two alcoholic beverages and two orders of wings with sides, we spent close to $70. read more

Nice ode to STL fish n chicken staples. Lovely decor and array of complimentary sauces. Tasty. The seating is vast and the bar looks nice. They don't have Stouts in stock at the moment, but nevertheless a good selection of beers. Plenty of menu options for fish and chicken items separately and some combos, but no actual Fish + Chicken Combo as STL is known for. Had to add on. But other than that, this is a great date spot. read more
Absolutely fire. Grace Meat + Three is serving up some of the best fried chicken around. I snagged their April Special the Grace Crunch Wrap. I think it lasted a whole 45 seconds on my plate--see the before and after photos. The chicken (I opted for grilled because health, lol) was seasoned to perfection. Juicy, salty, and tender. The grilled tortilla was amazing and even better with the crisp of the hard shell inside. Adding the comeback sauce this thing is top notch. I even dipped it in their tangy whiskey bbq sauce which just added another level of fire. Of course, if you are only going to be in there for 1 meal, you need to opt for something fried. Their seasoning is incredible. The shrimp Po'boy is another favorite of mine. The interior is a classic dining experience. They give you a number, and you rack your tray when you're finished. An amazing combination of throw back diner vibes mixed with the modernity of a bustling hot spot nestled in the heart of tower grove. It's no surprise you see "Grace Meat + Three adorned on heads throughout the city, including one of the City's finest: Adam Wainwright. read more
This place is located in the Grove and has the friendliest staff ever. They were very upbeat and courteous. There is metered street parking out front and on the side of the store. Please fit the temptation to park in the adjacent neighborhood because you will probably get ticketed. They have a large country style dining room with some bar seating on the side. There is also a place to sit outside on the sidewalk on the side of the restaurant. You will also find a walk up window to pick up to go orders on that side as well. I was looking for a late night treat and this was one of the few places that were open. Their menu is full of Southern favorites. They serve sandwiches, fried chicken, soup, catfish, shrimp , burgers and shakes. They also have wine and signature cocktails. But I was there for one of their unique treats. I had to decided between one of their hand pies and their pear bread pudding. After consulting the staff, I went with the bread pudding. It took about 10 minutes for them to prepare and it was fresh and hot. It was not what I was expecting, but was still pretty good. I thought that it would have more pear inside the bread pudding. But it was regular bread pudding with a small and thin pear fruit roll-up sheet on top. Anyway, this is a very nice southern spot that I highly recommend checking out while in the Grove. They have high quality food, superior service and a wonderful atmosphere. read more
Finally made it to Grace Meat + Three! And it was exactly as good as expected. We went around 6:30 on a Friday and it definitely wasn't too busy, waited a bit to order at the front and then sat at the bar to wait for our food. The bartender bought our drinks, I got the Elderberry margarita which I LOVED. My date got the Grace Special Perennial beer (per him), they had a great selection of beers. He got the burger and said he would be willing to do extreme things (which I won't repeat here) for that burger, which is clearly strong feelings. I got the fried chicken sandwich (hot), and was blown away - perfectly juicy and the spice level was really good! Bun was a bit oily but didn't bother me! We got medium fries which say they are for 3-4 people but I think that is underestimating most fry-eaters limits. They weren't the most crispy I've had but I loved the seasoning! Prices aren't too bad either and the bar is really cool, I can't wait to go back!! read more

First things first the customer service was on point but, the food was okay the chicken was dry and not seasoned (white meat) the bread was hard as a rock I had them bring me out another slice but, it was also steal. I was told that they freeze the bread and thaw it as they need it. And for the price you pay I would think the portions would be larger. read more

Visited Grace Meat & Three this past Sunday and it was the meal I needed to cap off the weekend. It's always pretty easy ordering here, staff is very friendly, patient and helpful when you step up to order. I ordered a shrimp po boy with greens, which was absolutely delicious. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, with a crispy breading and tender, juicy meat. The bread was toasted well and fluffy, and the greens were flavorful and well-seasoned. The portion size was generous, and I left feeling full and satisfied. One of STL's best southern food places, and they also carry vegetarian options. Check them out! read more
Chicken sandwhich 10/10 would totally get again! Friend green tomatoes were okay! Half slab rips were a deal for $15 but a bit on the salty side! Our first time here but we had a lot of fun! Service and vibes are great! Would definitely recommend and would come back! read more

You cannot go wrong dining here at this fine establishment. It's cute inside, it's spacious so you'll have a table. The staff is AMAZING! The menu has a lot to offer. This food is fresh!! The chicken is amazing. Real napkins, good beer and cocktails. If you leave a restaurant and you are still thinking about it the next day, it's good and it's one of your favorites. Wanted to try some good midwestern soul food and stumbled upon Grace Meat + Three. Let me start by saying this space is BEAUTIFUL! I loved everything about the ambiance, the music, the lighting. So lovely. All food is ordered at the counter and then you take a seat. We ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts, the catfish, and cornbread. The catfish, the fried chicken, and mashed potatoes and gravy were SUPERB. Throughly enjoyed these items. I felt the cornbread was too dry and the brussel sprouts were not cooked long enough. They also have this hot honey sauce to go with the chicken, soooooooo good! If I were to visit St. Louis again I would most certainly go back. It is worth it! read more
Rounding up from 3.5 Gave up meat for lent so came here on Sunday for a chicken fix! only been here once before and it was MUCH more busy this time. You order at front and they bring you food- line moves fast. I ordered the hot chicken tender, fish sandwich, and mac n cheese to split with my partner. Chicken tenders and fish sandwich were DELICIOUS and i would def go back for. i'm not huge on mac n cheese but their noodles weren't the best and it was really cheesy and was a little sweet... ended up tasting a bit like a pasta salad. Note i've heard their fries are really good but they were out when we went so we got the mac n cheese instead, sounds like they were unexpectedly busy. friends ordered the fried pickles and said it was good but briny and they probably wouldn't order again. service was great, all the employees are kind. decor..... lots of taxidermy but then also floral decor so kinda some mixed vibes, and i personally don't love looking at taxidermy while eating but i know it's common in bbq/southern comfort restaurants. overall, clean large space. will be going back! read more
We came in for lunch and it smelled delicious. The line to order was painfully slow but we persevered. Lunch was yummy but I don't know if I would wait that long again. I had fried pickles which were excellent and a catfish Po boy which was massive and so good. My Daughter enjoyed her Grace Burger. My Wife had the chicken tenders with cornbread and was very satisfied. Next time I'm here I'd order ahead. Food was really good. read more

OH. MY. WORD. Why have I not been here sooner? We were headed to the Grove for a date day and stopped in for a late lunch. I had heard great things about the fried chicken, but I didn't believe it would be that delicious!! Seriously. About halfway through one piece I told my husband that this was cooked perfectly. Restaurants often get the outside done well, but not always the meat. It was cooked to perfection. Juicy, not dry at all. My husband ordered the tenders and was also impressed. We ordered "hot" and it was that! I had the buttermilk lime dressing on the side (yummy!) and my hubby had the Comeback sauce. The restaurant has a great, comfortable, pleasant atmosphere. We were checked in from time to time. Staff was very helpful. We'll be back! read more
