Blatantly lying about the number of kids in quarantine and the number of covid cases. They'd rather stay open at all costs. Kids thrown into quarantine or who are sick are left to fend for themselves instead of allowing a live stream into the classroom or having the whole school close so all the kids are getting the same access to their lessons. And there seems to be no consequences for the parents who send their students to school knowing they are sick with or were exposed to covid. Politics seems to lead everything at Lakeshore. And the lack of transparency and communication across the board from the schools right up to the administration is astounding. Some teachers push limits and break rules with no consequences. They will also push their political views on the students and openly/publicly share those views for all to see. Sports are always put first. Money is spent on sports instead of expanding educational opportunities. No ROTC programs, no law enforcement programs, no program to directly correlate with living near a nuclear power facility. Names also carry a lot of weight in this district, from students to parents to teachers and staff. Overall, what used to be a fantastic district is now joked about by other districts. It's just not what it used to be, and pandemic has really brought to light what the administration feels is important - and it's not students first.

If you don't play sports or participate in extracurricular activities, you are looked down upon. They favor students that are "kiss ups" and give them remarkable grades even if their work is pure trash. I had multiple teachers flunk my work because I didn't suck up to them or act fake, even though my work met all of their criteria and actually usually surpassed it. If you have an original personality, it's like they're jealous of you. If you stick up for yourself you are hated just because you have a voice and don't agree with every little thing that spews out of their mouths. It's a shame that in this day and age teachers have the opportunity to demote someone's work based on if they enjoy them as a person. Your job as a professional teacher is to grade the students' based on their knowledge and execution; regardless of how they act. Some of the staff really need to have their positions terminated. I was so sick of putting my time and effort into my work just to fail. I decided to take a few online classes through their E2020 program (where teachers cannot judge you because there is no physical interaction), and I got all A's. The Lakeshore High School staff needs to grow up, get off their high horses, and realize that these kids are here to learn... not be dragged into unnecessary drama that constantly makes them feel distraught and distressed. I highly advise you to steer clear of this highschool if you are thinking about attending. The number of students that have transferred or dropped out of Lakeshore is tremendously high as well. Wow, I couldn't imagine why. Go to a school that values you as a person and where the staff actually knows how to act like grown adults.
