At this unprecedented moment in history, what too many people don't recognize is the absolute need for Pastors to make a stand against the level of tyranny and outright wickedness being allowed to wreck all lives. All one must do is FOLLOW THE MONEY, & it is clear! Not to mention the worship is incredible!! After going a few times we decided to join an Egroup which is basically a small group and that made this church my home! I have never felt more connected in a church as I do here and I have been going to church my whole life! Don't listen to the rumors or your own thoughts that you wont even be seen in this church. I am SO glad I went and can't imagine doing life especially going through this pandemic without the wonderful people here!!

I'm a 64 yr old, dyed-in-the-wool Lutheran woman. I attended Lutheran schools, a very old fashioned Lutheran church, taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was raised in a very traditional Midwest environment. Moving to NC from MI in 2012 meant finding a new church home. NOT an easy undertaking. Upon my first visit to Elevation Church, I needed earplugs and sunglasses as I was completely overwhelmed. BUT, two things happened that day. The friendliness of not only the greeters, but of the congregants made a huge positive impression. Secondly, the message given by Steven Furtick stayed with me day after day. THAT had never happened for me in all my church-going years. Fast forward nine years ... if I can't be there in person, I watch Steven Furtick on TV, on YouTube and website. I have all the Elevation Worship music downloaded as my go-to playlist. I've forwarded Pastor Furtick's series for couples "Fix Your Focus" (2016) many times to friends who are going through a rough patch in their marriage. Anyone that knows me understands the phrase "drop(ing) the plank" (from the 3rd Sunday in the series, I think) and uses it regularly. I am a different Christian woman these days -- more patient, more understanding, more loving. Most importantly, I have a very real relationship with God. I no longer keep my worship in a box, only opened on certain days. These things are, in a very large part, due to all that Elevation offers. BTW, earplugs and sunglasses are no longer part of my worship, literally and metaphorically.

Mooresville campus is a huge church, but you can also join a small group to meet friends or couples. The theme is that everyone is welcome, so the atmosphere is laid back with casual dress. It's not a stuffy church, everyone is very friendly. The music is loud but also wonderful. This isn't your old school hymnal book music, so be prepared for that. The messages are always down to earth and relatable. The Cove is a wonderful church simply trying to spread God's word and to invite everyone in.

Folks from the Old Testament trembled in the presence of the Lord. A rather large Church that works to make itself individually significant to each congregant. They structure programs for everyone. My Sister-in-Law recently passed away. She spent three weeks between three Hospitals that were up to 25 miles away. Every day that she was in the Hospital, she was visited by one of the four ministers without fail. They were a great comfort. The mission statement of the Church says it all. "We will be the body of Christ in our Community through Worship, Fellowship, Education and Service" For example, we're getting ready to start of 16th Habitat for Humanity Project in a couple of weeks.

I visited this church while on vacation in the Charlotte area. My friend from my university days…read moreand her husband worship here and they took me with them. I am not used to Presbyterian worship but like my Lutheran roots it's liturgical so following along with the service was a breeze. My first concern when visiting a church whose order of worship is unfamiliar to me is the fear of sticking out or disrupting the service with my ignorance. When you enter Davidson College Presbyterian Church you're offered a bulletin with the order or worship included - along with the announcements and other information - that keeps you on track. The church also featured friendly parishioners, a talented choir, and clerics that didn't put me to sleep. They also had robust activities and opportunities to participate for the very old and the very young - as is expected - but also for younger adults and college students. The congregation is old - apparently dating back to around the Revolution - but the actual church building is newer, dating from the 1950s. The sanctuary and nave were very beautiful but not so ornate that they drew attention away from the service. If you're looking for a traditional protestant service then you won't be disappointed with this congregation or their house or worship.
