Pastors are down-to-earth, funny, and relatable. There is also a small cafe that sells coffee drinks, bottled drinks, simple desserts, breakfast burritos, and a few Christian books. A Warning to Parents and Families…read more I was a part of this church since 2013 and served in leadership for seven years, so I speak from firsthand experience when I say: stay away. For a long time, I didn't see the truth behind the polished image. But having been on the inside of their leadership structure, I have seen them for who they really are. Behind closed doors, they are not genuine. Worse, they have a history of hidden serious allegations going back approximately 20 years. No matter how many policies and procedures they claim to have in place, children are not safe here or at their Porterville campus. If anything happens to your child, you may never even know. Mandated reporting is routinely ignored because leadership acts as though they are above the law and can do whatever they want. They preach about "excellence," but it is a front.
